I have two daughters that attend this school and I am continually amazed at how the school caters and fosters to each of their individual learning styles, interests and personalities. From academics, to sports, to clubs and community service, this school considers all aspects of a student's development and offers opportunities for everyone. But most importantly, the staff and administration care deeply for these young women's well being and success. My daughters have been encouraged over the last three years to challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zone in their academic courses as well as their extra-curricular activities while feeling supported every step of the way. I could not be more impressed with the education they are receiving.
I am so happy we decided to send our daughter to Notre Dame Prep. Her self esteem and confidence has improved so much in her first 2 years in middle school. The staff is helpful and nurturing. There are activities for everyone to get involved in. The traditions they have at the school will bring life long memories. NDP will prepare your daughter for college and beyond.
So many opportunities for the girls to learn, grow and be exposed to new things and experiences. In middle school, the teachers/administration really get to know the students and do an amazing job getting them ready for the demands of high school.
An amazing school with many opportunities for young ladies and women. Exceptional and dedicated teachers at both the middle level as well as the high school. Many clubs, sports, dances and well and opportunities to travel internationally. The course selections are more like a college as opposed to a traditional high school. Girls are grouped in phases to best suit the needs of student’s’ abilities. Simply a transformative education for girls.
NDP is an impressive and engaging community. Whether you are in the middle level or upper level, the teachers and administration know your name, your family, your interests, and what activities you take part in. It is very close-knit for such a large campus and student body. Class offerings are top notch and the campus is beautiful. You cannot go wrong sending any girl to Notre Dame Prep.
The most popular event at NDP is called Gym Meet. It is a time where grades 9-12 compete in categories of song, dance, exercise aerobics and march. As NDP is an all girls school, it really signifies sisterhood as a grade and even as a whole school. Gym Meet allows people to connect on a deeper level as a lot of time and effort is put in to the event.
It is a very nice school and I have enjoyed going here over the past couple of years. I would recommend to others there are many opportunities and a very safe space. I wouldnt want to go anywhere else for school.
Overall, I can safely say that Notre Dame Preparatory School has provided me with a high-quality education that makes me feel more confident as I transition into college. Some of the best parts of my experience were bonding with fun and engaging teachers, as well as participating in the unique traditions. Gym Meet especially was always a great time for my class; competing in different categories against other grades and coming together in an attempt to win the silver cup. I will admit that I wish the relationship between the administration and the student body was more positive, although I've seen improvement within the recent year. I will certainly miss NDP after I graduate, but I know that the friends I made here will be sisters for life.
A lot of the girls at NDP are openly ignorant to bigotry and would practice racial hate-speech as experienced first-hand. However, I do not think that is necessarily the school's fault. My 2 older sisters went to NDP and both did not like it. There is no fostering of global perspectives/cultural acknowledgment.
I have been at the school for seven years and have learned to love the school and all of its traditions and memories that it has provided me with while also readily preparing me to move on to college.
My sister and I, along with numerous cousins and aunts, have all attended NDP. All of us are thankful to have been challenged, cared for, and supported by the NDP community over the years.
The academics are rigorous and prepare you for all academic challenges colleges will throw your way. The athletics are great, though some teams are neglected and even ignored by the athletic department (I had an injury my senior year on the crew team and was asked by the trainer: "why are you even here? We don't treat your team.") NDP has a large and giving community that will help you every step of the way, though admin needs WORK.
The traditions are fantastic and your daughter will walk away from her time here appreciating all that NDP offers. I have cousins who didn't like NDP while they were there, but have grown to love it because of the community and the work ethic they developed.
Overall, NDP is great school! I just wish I lived close enough to be able to send my future daughter(s) here.

It’s a very good school with MANY opportunities. Most girls are super nice with a few exceptions, and there are enough opportunities for everyone to fine their interests. The education is superior to almost every other school in the area.
The community at this school is very unique and the bonds created will last forever. The many opportunities given to me, make me feel ready for college.
Our family only lasted one (albeit very long) year at NDP. While the teachers are knowledgable and at times nurturing, the overloaded schedule, absence of community focus (and time to develop the "whole" child beyond the implementation of an archaic educational model), lack of (and even resistance to) diversity and diversity initiatives, unreasonable amounts of nightly homework, and unnecessarily stringent discipline policies with little reflection as to "why" they are in place - drove us out of here pretty quickly. From what I gather, many many teachers in core subjects like English and the Sciences also left at the end of the year - pointing to an administrative-faculty disconnect that definitely trickled down to the students. True, NDP is cheaper than other independent school in the area - but that does not make it a "value". Do your research. Trust your instincts. And be clear about what it is you need. Chances are, there are better options out there for you and your family.
Nurturing and safe environment- truly strive to help each student reach their maximum potential, while instilling core values.
The most important part of coming to any high school is making friends. Friends are going to be there for you through the thick and thin. I know that my NDP experience would be much worst if I didn’t make and lose friends throughout my time here.
The teachers are most good but there can be teachers who are cannot teach the curriculum they are supposed to be teaching (which is not acceptable) but there are amazing teachers who try their best to help every student.
NDP also have a phasing system which is supposed to help your daughter to be placed in classes that fits her learning speed but it can also prevent her from taking classes she might like just because her final grade is a tiny bit off.
Nothing is truly bad at NDP in general, administration could use work and the resources given to POC and low income can definitely be improved but this is not a bad school overall from my experience. Definitely go to NDP for competition and school spirit! Gym Meet is a great example of both!

Some of the staff members at NDP made my time there some of the best years of my life. I’m still in contact with them years after graduating. However, there were a lot of issues with administration actually following through on promises to students, as well as favoritism among staff towards students. Finally, there is a long history of racism at NDP. While I personally wasn’t a vivir i’m of it, students recounted dozens of stories about their experiences through an instagram page that began in 2020. It was not as amazing as many people believed.
I am very greatful to have attended NDP, but the culture of the school needs some work. There are too many cliques and girls who are absolutely obsessed with spray tans and gym meet. It can become like a cult at times.
It’s hard work and can be stressful but prepares you for college, if anything it over prepares students.
As a student there is truly no other school I would rather be. The culture is the best truly nothing like it and has something for everyone. The traditions are like nothing else and you truly feel you are a part of something bigger than yourself.
