It kind of reminds me of Michael Jackson “Off the Wall” energy. The Whitney Houston “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and it feels so good. It’s about a woman that you see out of the club who is just living her best life embracing the party life and you wanna be a part of it. You wanna touch this energy that she has. You wanna, like, whatever place she is, you wanna be there with her. It’s about that push and pull, that allure that she has, that attraction that you have toward her and wanting to take it to the next level with her. So that’s what the lyric is really about. I wrote it with Ryan Tedder and a few other wonderful producers and writers. And I ran into Saweetie, I’m like, “I’m a fan, Saweetie, I would love to work with you. We should figure out a song to do together.” So we gave her the song and she flipped, she loved it and she was like, “That’s the one I wanna be on” and she came up with such a fun verse for the song. really just spiced up the song made it her own and I feel like this song is gonna be on a lot of people’s playlists going forward. I’m excited.
