West Bloomfield High School Reviews
Rating 3.78 out of 5 446 reviews
West Bloomfield is a school of many different opportunity that was not the best school in the area, but placed a big impact on me and my life. West Bloomfield has almost everything every other schoool has, including sports, clubs, AP programs, and pleanty of social activities to keep the school active. For me, some of my best memories from the last four years there were from the school as I had a great group of friends and I was involved in multiple varsity sports as well as a few extra curricular clubs that helped me get to where I am today. All the staff were great people that wanted the best for us and provided us with pleanty of resources to help us with our futures. As great as parts of the school were, It had it's downsides as well. The school is perfect for the "average student" but what i've noticed is it is hard to get proper resources for advanced students. The AP programs and Ivy level guidence were not amazing which hurt some students chances of reaching dreams schools.
In my time at West Bloomfield High School, I gained a sense of perspective and understanding for my own drive and motivations for academic success. While the general student population of this school do not pride themselves on academic achievement, the few students who take initiative to broaden their academic abilities. In my experience, this group of kids becomes very close and often relies on each other through advanced classes, and helps create some diverse social environments. School spirit is definitely something that can be improved, although student sport culture does tend to reach a peak during fall football season.
West Bloomfield High School is a safe space that has many positive qualities. I chose it as my high school because the amount of clubs and extracurricular activities it offers. Although I’ve had some trouble with teachers that have been somewhat harsh, I enjoy the school more than anything!
