7 hours black screen win8 idearpad u140 stuck after factory reset

Been 7 hours black screen still after factory reset win8 can anyone help nearly 8 hours now help appreciated thank you.

Hi it was a used ideapad so I reset it it's completed I just turned it on and off and it started the process ok can you help me here a little it's a ideaoad U140 Lenovo id like to install win10 on this device update it what's the best way I haven't hooked up to the internet yet I would like to reuse this product to the best it can be in 2024 what's the best way to install win10 on this device and any details how to get the best from this device for my day to day life would be appreciated as it's better than my old one one and I'll be using this thank you for your help.kenny

Microsoft has finally ended the free upgrade to 10 loophole last year.

And they no longer even sell 10.

Can I get windows 12 free what would you suggest thank you.

Can I use this ideapad still if I can't upgrade it's not supported us it windows 8 now I'm not sure so I ask you guys the professionals as I'm clueless cheers.

8/8.1 > 11 would be a clean install and doesn't come for free.

But computer 18 months or older than the release of 11 are not suitable to run 11.

Windows 11 requirements;

Specifically check this:

The most you can do with that device is clean install 8.1.

I reply in these 8/8.1 forums on an 8.1 laptop with good security.

It is the only fair way to answer people's questions here.
