ADAC Ravenol 24 Hours of Nürburgring entry list

The 52nd ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, which is again expected to attract more than 200,000 spectators this year, will be staging from 30th May to 2nd June. The provisional entry list consists of 130 cars with eight manufacturers, 26 high-class super sports cars and the world best GT3 teams and drivers. The “race of the year” s now integrated in the Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli.

Defending the title could be a tough task for the crowd favourites at Frikadelli Racing. The #7 Klaus “Frikadelli” Abbelen Ferrari 296 GT3 will be driven by Felipe Fernandez Laser, Daniel Keilwitz,,Luca Ludwig and Nicolás Varrone and faces stiff opposition – not just numerically, but the driver line-ups are also brimming with quality. Top-class customer racing teams representing the major German manufacturers Audi, BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-AMG receive support in the form of factory drivers and material to aid them in their pursuit of victory on the longest and most beautiful racetrack in the world.

Six Porsche 911 GT3 R

Among the pre-race favourites are the Porsche teams, who between them have won all of this season’s races so far in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) and at the ADAC 24h Qualifiers in April. The most successful of them: Falken Motorsports – the factory team of the Japanese tyre maker lines up with two Porsche 911 GT3 R and a top driver line-up. The green and blue 911s with the start numbers #33 (Julian Andlauer, Klaus Bachler, Sven Müller, Alessio Picariello) and #44 (Joel Eriksson, Tim Heinemann, Nico Menzel, Martin Ragginger) could set the benchmark for the whole field – together with #911 Porsche team Manthey Racing (Laurens Vanthoor, Thomas Preining, Kevin Estre, Ayhancan Güven). They start with the #911 in the familiar “Grello” design, with another quartet of proven top drivers at the wheel. Rounding off the Porsche GT3 armada are the #5 Renauer with Robert Renauer, Vicent Kolb, Dennis Olsen and Matt Campbell, Dinamic GT in #54 with Marco Pascal Holzer, Marco Seefried, Bastian Buus and Marvin Dienst and #24 Lionspeed team, with the latter starting in the Pro-Am class. A total of six 911 GT3 R will take their place on the starting grid..

Mercedes-AMG marking 130 years in motorsport.

To this end, the GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 will not only have a strong driver line-up, but will also bear the number On quality alone, the teams running the Mercedes-AMG GT3 are right up there with the Porsche outfits. Here too, several teams can call on drivers from the manufacturer’s factory squad. The teams in question are the proven and very successful:

  • HRT #3 with Michele Beretta, Frank Bird, Jusuf Owega and Arjun Mainiand, #4 with Luca Stolz, Maximilian Götz, Daniel Juncadella and Arjun Maini,

  • GetSpeed teams #8 with Lucas Auer, Adam Christodoulou, Philip Ellis and Mikael Grenier, #130 (Maro Engel, Jules Gounon, Fabian Schiller).

  • Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport also fields a GT3 in the Pro-Am class.

Audi and BMW are both represented with three cars.

Leading the way for the Ingolstadt-based manufacturer are the two R8 LMS GT3 of Scherer Sport PHX: #15 with Frederic Vervisch, Christopher Haase, Markus Winkelhock and Ricardo Felle, #16 with Frank Stippler, Christopher Mies, Ricardo Feller and Dennis Marschall. There is also a Pro-Am outing for Juta Racing.

BMW is counting on the M4 GT3 and teams at RMG with Daniel Harper, Max Hesse and Charles Weerts in #72 and Rowe Racing with #98 driven by Raffaele Marciello, Maxime Martin, Marco Wittmann and Augusto Farfus who will also drive #99 with Robin Frijns, Sheldon Van der Linde and Dries Vanthoor.

Four Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo

Walkenhorst enters the #34 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo for Christian Krognes, Jakub Giermaziak, David Pittard and Nicki Thiim. #35, #17 Prosport Racing and Four Motors will be PRO-AM entries.

Two Lamborghini

The #27 Red Bull Team Abt Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo will be driven by Kelvin Van der Linde, Marco Mapelli and Jordan Pepper. #7 Konrad Motorsport is entering a Huracan in PRO-AM. Source: ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring Media Team
