American singer-songwriter Remi Wolf released two new songs “Toro” and “Alone in Miami” on May 10, 2024.
Two songs received their first play during BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
Both songs were taken from her upcoming sophomore album “Big Ideas”, which is set to be released on July 12, 2024 via Island Records.
“Toro” was written by Ethan Gruska, Jack DeMeo, Jared Solomon, and Remi Wolf.
“Alone in Miami” was written by than Gruska, Jack DeMeo, and Remi Wolf.
Both songs were produced by Remi Wolf, Ethan Gruska, and Solomonophonic.
The accompanying music video for “Toro” was directed by Ragan Henderson.
Remi Wolf said of two songs in a press release, “In my mind, they have always been intended to be listened to back to back. wrote both songs with my friends Ethan Gruska and Jack Demeo in LA in between tours in early 2022.”- She continued, “To be frank, 'Toro' is a song about having sex in a hotel, and 'Alone in Miami' is a song about the week I spent alone in Miami during Art Basel - and is quite literally a detailed and accurate description of what happened while I was there. These two songs showcase the sonic breadth of this album - and you can't put me into a box bitch so don't even try.”
