At Star Wars Celebration 2022, Pascal was asked by Variety (via Mando3Updates) when, or if, The Mandalorian would hit the big screen, to which Pascal responded, "Don't you think it's inevitable?" He went on to reiterate that he had no idea yet if there were any plans for a movie, but that if it were to happen, it would be "a dream come true." After emphasizing his own love for film and the experience of watching movies in the theater, Pascal added that if The Mandalorian were to get that treatment, then "all I can say is... please."

Pedro Pascal Has Long Since Been Committed To A Mandalorian Movie

There's No Doubt The Din Djarin Actor Will Do As Much As He Can

Two years later, it's amazing to see how Pascal's words have come to fruition. The confidence he has in The Mandalorian has never once swayed or staggered, and it seems that it has so far paid off. Though The Mandalorian season 3 wasn't met with as much enthusiasm or praise as the TV show's first two seasons, it's still carved the path for these characters and this story to hit the big screen, which means that yet another one of Pascal's dreams has come true - and that's not something the actor would give up.

This makes the question of whether Pascal will appear in The Mandalorian & Grogu or not seem even more ridiculous, even with his scheduling conflicts. Though the actor certainly has a lot going on, with HBO's The Last of Us season 2 still in production and the MCU's The Fantastic Four starting production in the coming weeks, he will no doubt do what it takes to make it to set when he must for a project he's been dreaming about for at least two years. How big of a role he will play in the suit, however, is still left to be seen.

Yet another one of Pascal's dreams has come true - and that's not something the actor would give up.

Din Djarin has been set up for two new yet familiar roles in the Star Wars galaxy thanks to The Mandalorian season 3's ending: an independent contractor for the New Republic and a Mandalorian mentor to his newly adopted son. Whether this will give Pascal the opportunity to lend his face to Din Djarin in-universe for the first time since 2020 is unknown, though it seems that any private moments he shares with Grogu could make it a possibility. Either way, it's wonderful to see how Pascal's excitement about The Mandalorian & Grogu is nothing new.

The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters May 22, 2026.
