Amii's wonderful album was further enhanced by her Italian #1 hit single, "Friends", which was added to this second edition. Unfortunately, it also meant that the beautiful ballad "Mother Mary" was omitted. "That Loving Feeling" is presented here in a longer version with a slow intro.

When Amii abandoned her energetic disco style on 1981's Images, she took a step towards more sophisticated pop which was further developed on her first RCA album, Amii Stewart (1983). On Try Love, the formula was taken into perfection. Great, classy, elegant, laid-back, soulful songs by Tony Joe White ("That Loving Feeling") and Mike Francis who seemed to be ideal vehicle for Amii's crystal-clear, pitch-perfect voice. This album had all the potential to become an international million-seller, not just because of the elegant sleeve. A new version included a splendid new track, "Friends".
