duPont Manual High School

duPont Manual High School was established in 1892 by Victor du Pont. It currently houses five magnet programs: High School University, Journalism and Communications, Math Science and Technology, Visual Arts, and the Youth Performing Arts School.

Alumni Association

The primary function of the Alumni Association is to keep graduates in touch with the school community and publish notable achievements and accomplishments of our alumni.
Manual Today

Almost 2,000 students are currently enrolled at Manual, and the school draws and increasing number of applicants every year.

The News

The 30th annual Hall of Fame induction was held Sunday April 21, 2024 at Wildwood Country Club.

This year's inductees were:
Sandra Sorrell Callahan Class of 1954, Howard L. Holloman Jr Class of 1974, Johnathan Johnsongriffin Class of 2001, Danny Luckett Class of 1965, Stacy Pendelton Teacher/Coach, Mindy Shapero Class of 1993, Robert Shroeder Manual Stadium caretaker, Steve Smith Class of 1977, Brittany Vencill Teacher/Coach and Dave Zuberer Athletic Director.

The 31st annual Hall of Fame Induction will be held in April, 2025.
Nomination forms can be obtained from the Alumni Office.

The Hall of Fame Committee meets in October.
Memorial bricks and pavers for the Crimson Spirit Wall at duPont Manual Stadium are still availabe for purchase to celebrate a loved one or commemorate a special event. Click the INFO tab above for details.
The next alumni luncheon will be Wednesday June 26th (PLEASE NOTE DAY/DATE CHANGE) at Hurstbourne Country Club, 9000 Hurstbourne Country Club Ln. (off S. Lyndon Ln. near Shelbyville Rd. & Nottingham Pkwy).

Guest speaker will be Marty Pollio, Superintendent JCPS.

Social hour starts at 11:00 AM and luncheon at noon.

A recording of the 1964-1965 concert band was recovered by Larry Leonard, a 1965 Manual graduate.
PTSA needs new members, former students and parents welcome.
