Michael J. Kelly OBITUARY

Michael J. Kelly, Jr. (63) peacefully passed away on March 18th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in San Jose, California on August 3rd, 1959, to Margaret and Michael Kelly. Michael attended St. Patrick’s and St. Joseph’s Elementary Schools, Bellarmine College Preparatory, and Santa Clara University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. While studying at Bellarmine, he received the Billy Schmidt and Scholar Athlete awards for playing football and graduated top of his class.Michael was the owner and founder of Kelly and Associates, a locally known tax, accounting, and investment firm. He took great pride in working alongside his family in providing quality services to his clients whom he appreciated and valued greatly. Michael excelled in the business world and he genuinely enjoyed his profession and helping others.The most precious moments to Michael always involved spending time with his family. These unforgettable memories usually consisted of taking a dip in the swimming pool, camping, traveling, being out on the lake, or just simply laughing together. His Irish eyes were always sparkling, especially around his grandchildren.There are no words to describe the incredible man that was Michael Kelly. He was a class act and was a bright light to many. His kindness and caring soul had no limits and he was an inspiration to everyone. To know him, was to truly love him. He was a devoted and loyal family man, honest and brilliant business owner, and a community leader. His devotion to God and the Catholic faith helped shape him into the wonderful man that he was.Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Michael Kelly. He is survived by his wife Yolanda Kelly (Ozuna); daughters Lauren (Jose) Gonzalez, Peggy Kelly, and Stephanie (Ryan) Herraez; and seven grandchildren Tyler, Dylan, Harper, Mikayla, Bennett, Brooklyn and Madison.He will forever be remembered and loved. His legacy will live on and he will be deeply missed. God bless him always.A rosary service will be held at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary at 466 N Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050 on March 30th, 2023 at 6:00pm. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 31st, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Martin of Tours Church at 200 O’Connor Drive, San Jose, CA 95128.
