BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton baseball team has earned the #2 seed for the upcoming Region 19 / North Atlantic District Tournament and will host 7th seeded Salem Community College in the first round.
The Spartans, 40-7 overall, will host the opening round best of three series vs. the Mighty Oaks (26-23) on Saturday May 11th and Sunday May 12th. Games one and two will be played on Saturday, with the third game, if necessary, to be played on Sunday. The winner of the series will advance to the Region 19 Final Four May 17-19 in Sewell, NJ. Game one is slated to begin at noon.
Northampton won the regular season series vs.Salem, taking all 3 games, by the scores of; 11-1, 10-3 and 8-1, back in mid-March.
