The world leader in gifted education.
CTY was founded more than 40 years ago by a researcher dedicated to identifying and supporting the most intellectually advanced students. Today, as a nonprofit academic center based at Johns Hopkins—America’s first research university—our commitment to research remains as strong as ever. From our home in Baltimore to our dynamic virtual classrooms and our in-person sites across the United States, the Center for Talented Youth remains committed to understanding and nurturing extraordinary elementary, middle, and high school students worldwide.
Our core mission is to serve advanced learners and their families through our renowned programs, research, and advocacy within the field of gifted education. Because in identifying and developing the talents of bright pre-university students to better our world today, we hope to improve it for generations to come.
