This subreddit is for the ephemeral TV programs of the pre-VCR era -- the stuff no one ever expected to see again: newscasts, local kiddie shows and horror movie hosts, live TV dramas, game shows, soap operas, teen dance parties... Oh, and kinescopes. Lots and LOTS of kinescopes.

Loved this show. I saw the 1960s episodes. I was born in 1953. I was obsessed.

The Untouchables was such a great show. Loved it as a kid and wish one of the retro channels like MeTV or Fetv would start airing it again. Just like Peter Gunn, The Untouchables had such a noir feel to it. It's an absolute classic. I might have to give in and buy the series.
