Arlington public school's system lacks organization in many ways and they lack care for their paperwork. In addition, you have to hunt down teachers to get assistance. Other than that my school has many great opportunities for students' discovery. You have to be a committed student to take advantage of that opportunity. I like that my school is a safe environment to learn in. Washington Liberty also has a competitive academic environment with an inclusive community.
My experience at WL was influenced by Covid-19, so i didn't get the expected high school experience. However, the school itself is amazing. There's some amazing teachers, a lot of resources and help if you ask for it; it's very good. My minor grievances is the school lunch is lacking, and the school could do a better job of readying students for college/senior experience.
I like that they have a gymnastics team and the coaches are very nice. I like that the teacher helps me to find scholarships for college
It isn’t a very safe school, I feel like anyone could just walk in. However, the courses are good and we offer a lot of variety in our course selection. Ranging from car technology to music and song writing.
Good teachers, good course selection, less care for the arts than I’d like to see from admin, but the departments themselves are great and do a lot with what they have.
I like the school and its encouragement to academically challenge oneself. It makes everyone want to do better.
The best part of my experience at Washington liberty were all the people who have supported me and helped me grow as a person. The worse part is really hard to say since I can’t really saying anything bad but if it had to be anything it would be the counselors as they are there to help but don’t reach out to help with colleges and stuff as much. I would change the way the school prepares us for college as I feel like I’m not ready.
Pretty good school overall. There are a plethora of different opportunities and different people from all walks of live.
I just started school at Washington Liberty this August after moving to the area this summer, and really enjoy it! The school itself is very nice and all it’s facilities are in great condition(to include the brand new Annex building!). The majority of the teachers are very nice here and the education seems great, as there are dozens of course options, to include many duel-enrollment, IB, and AP classes as well. The lunch here is not great, as the portions are very small and what you do get is not very good quality/enjoyable, but it is edible to say the least. Overall, I am pleased with my experience thus far at Washington Liberty.
Washington-Liberty High School Is an incredibly diverse school, both racially and economically. I am grateful for this because I feel like I had a plethora of experiences due to the unique nature of the School. Additionally, many of the teachers come from vastly different backgrounds, adding to the rich diversity this school had to offer.
Washington-Liberty High School offers a diverse environment with supportive teachers and many opportunities for both future schooling and careers. The class options are almost endless and it is quite easy to find ones that interest you. The only things I would like to see change are the systems by which some teachers run their classrooms and the emphasis on the IB Program that lacks crucial information for kids thinking about joining the program.
Overall, I had a good experience going to school here. Most of the teachers that I had here seemed to be enthusiastic about their job, and I made a bunch of friends with the other students here.
Teachers were very supportive and helpful. Many programs held in the school which help first generation students along with minority students. Great variety in AP and IB classes.
My overall experience has been very inclusive. I have felt included in the school environment whether it be in sports or clubs. The atmosphere of the school is nice and provides a safe learning environment.
My overall experience at Washington Liberty High School has been great so far. I was able to participate in many sports, which I really enjoyed. It was also a great opportunity to meet new people. Playing on the basketball and cheerleading teams taught me a lot of valuable skills that I can take into the real world. Playing sports taught me how to manage my time and be a more responsible individual. Being on the team taught me how to balance schoolwork and provided me with the skills I need to succeed in the real world. During the winter, I am a member of the girls' basketball team, and during the fall, I'm a member of the cheerleading squad. I feel that playing sports has taught me how to work well under pressure and learn how to be a great team player. Every quarter, I also take part in getting named to the school A/B honor roll. I enjoy both the academic and sports aspects of my school.
I think Washington-Liberty high school has very good academics and they offer good support for a lot of things. They have good assemblies that help connect the student body more to each other. The teachers are very helpful and there are good opportunities to make up missed work. I think one thing that could be changed is some of the course requirements, as there are a lot necessary to graduate, and not everyone wants to take all of them. Besides the core classes, there are many other required classes to graduate that I have heard others at my school complain about.
In my experience, since freshman year all of my teachers and my counselor helped me a lot to become a better person, a better student, and they encouraged me to do better, to go after my dreams, they would congratulate me on even the small things like getting my late works done. There is not much bad things to say about my school.
