power antenna booster switch

Hi all,

Newbie here, just bought a 2021 Grey Wolf 20rdse in August. First tt for me and my wife and still learning the systems. Question is about the tv
antenna, when I press the power button on the face plate the green light
illuminates for a split second when I think is should stay solid. Either way
I do not receive any channel signals. Am I doing something wrong or should I call the dealer. This is the first time I have ever tried to hook
up a tv to it. Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks
Paul

There are a few ideas here and a few things to check.

It's not impossible that you have a faulty switch on the faceplate. Just one idea.

The booster (amplifier) is in the antenna; the light plate supplies the 12Vdc to the antenna. If there is a short (coax cable or amplifier) the plate is designed to shut down (light goes OFF) as a precaution. Sounds as though there is a coax cable short (coax (ground) to center conductor) assuming amplifier is not shorted.

That doesn't answer why the light comes on for a second and goes back off without any human action.

I agree with bubbles on this one. Hopefully, you have a short in the coax, either at the antenna head or the connection on the plate as those are the easiest and less costly to repair. If it's a short in the antenna's amplifier or a bad switch plate you will have to contend with the dealer's service department and who knows how long that will take.
