    It was good collections of poems reminding us about the conditions during the World war. This reminds reader not to support war.

What comes in this World War Two poetry pack?

It contains 5 different poems, reflecting a diverse range of experiences of the war. There is work from ex-pilots like High Flight by John Magee, which describes flying up to the sky and 'touching the face of God.' 

There's also a poem written by Henryka Łazowertówna, a child in a Warsaw ghetto who describes sneaking out for food, and work like 'A Gunners Day', the author of which is still unknown.

The poems come with some lovely, immersive illustrations as backdrops, and some interesting facts about the poets to provide some context. 

Still relevant to this day, these WW2 poems for KS2 are a great introduction to life in the war. The pack comes as an easy to download PDF, so should save you plenty of time and trouble.

When did World War Two happen?

World War 2 was fought from 1st September 1939 to 2nd September 1945. 

It involved the majority of the world's countries and began when the British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain declared war on Germany.

The main countries involved were the Axis powers (Germany, Italy and Japan), and The Allies (France, Great Britain, The U.S, The Soviet Union and more).
