Mike and Molly tells the story of a couple, aptly named Mike (Billy Gardell) and Molly (Melissa McCarthy), who connect in a Chicago Overeaters Anonymous program, and quickly discover an affection for one another. The television series debuted in 2010 and has a respectable 127 episodes in its six seasons. Mike and Molly was also nominated for 16 awards, winning five, two of which were Primetime Emmys.

In a 2010 blog post for Marie Claire, Maura Kelly referred to the series' leads as "fat bastards." Despite this heartless feedback and a later iffy apology, the series continued on and was very successful. Part of this success was due to the fact that Mike and Molly had terrific plots, a huge heart, and epic humor, just like the legendary sitcoms of the 1980s, 1990s, and early-2000s.

Many of the episodes showed that television could be both entertaining and convey a significant message at the same time, just like real life often does. Much of this charm came from the characters themselves, who would be nothing without the actors and actresses who portray them. Here is what the cast of Mike and Molly has been up to in recent years.
