JAMES' Obituary
James J. Brown, Jr. of Vero Beach, FL and Belmont, MA, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2024, at home with his family by his side. Jim was a loving husband of 59 years to his high school sweetheart, JoAnn Brown.
He was a devoted family man and is survived by his son Jim Brown and wife Kimberly Snow (Ipswich, MA) and daughter Traci Brown (Hingham, MA); four grandchildren Alexis Brown, Zachary Brown, Davey Snow, and Kaleigh Barrett, and two nieces Jacqueline Davis and Jillian Mancuso.
Jim was an Army Veteran with an honorable discharge. At the high point of Jim’s professional career, he worked as General Manager and Vice President of Operations at The Handleman Company and held numerous other jobs. He also co-founded the Otter Creek Soccer Club while in Little Rock.
He loved all types of music, particularly the oldies, and dancing in the kitchen with JoAnn and family. Jim also enjoyed playing cards and discussing politics with friends.
His easy-going personality and passion for all Boston sports, especially the Patriots will be truly missed. He is at rest with James (father), Helen (mother), Michael (brother) and Patti (sister).
The family will have a private ceremony in the next few months.
