Watts Gallery

Built to display the work of Victorian artist George Frederic Watts, Watts Gallery first opened in 1904.

Here you can see George's artwork. From his early years to celebrated portraits, symbolic paintings and larger-than-life sculptures in the Sculpture Gallery.

You can also visit the De Morgan Foundation's Decoration or Devotion? The exhibition features works by artists Evelyn and William De Morgan.

Opening times

Includes Historic Galleries, De Morgan Exhibition, Temporary Exhibition and Sculpture Gallery

Open daily, 10.30am - 5pm, including bank holidays. Last admission is 4.30pm.
Closed 24 - 26 December and 1 January. Closing at 4pm on 31 December.

Please note that we will be closing early on Thursday 13 June at 3pm due to essential electrical works. We apologise for any inconvenience.


Please note that the Sculpture Gallery will be closed on Friday 14 June from 1.30pm - 2.30pm due to filming and photography.
