The 3rd and final album by the English trio is the same pastoral sounds as before and includes among the originals, covers of songs by John Lennon and Tim Hardin plus a collaboration with David Gilmour who appears as an extra musician as well as the producer.
Nothing radical here just a selection of straight ahead songs about religion, revolution and railways, love breaking down, love breaking out and love as a dress rehearsel for Life.
Though Kate St.John had nothing to do with the writing of the songs there's one line in particular which may have led to the final disintegration shortly after this album:
""God knows, look at where I've ended up
In a pack of wild sinners looking for a Holy Cup"
The song was written by Nick Laird-Clowes who was apparantly the wildest man of all in an act noted for things like serenity and peace

Different Kind of Weather is an overlooked gem.It also marked the return of David Gilmour's involvement with the band as producer and adding guitar. The album contains several moments of great pop music like ", "Twelve-Eight Angel" with a great sax solo by Kate St. John, "Forest fire","Lowlands and Tim Hardin's "It'll Never Happen Again," a lovely laid-back gem with an undercurrent of Gilmour's guitar work.
