May Hours
Beginning Mon, May 13 the library will switch to summer hours (Mon-Fri, 8:30 am-4:30 pm). Consult our hours page for details for the rest of May, which include closures for the Memorial Day holiday and a staff retreat.
Centering with Labyrinths
Celebrate World Labyrinth Day
(May 4) and take a mindful break by checking out our
labyrinth displays in the rotunda of the first floor, and by walking a
labyrinth through the stacks on the second floor. Follow the arrows
beginning in the fiction section (to your right at the top of the stairs
through the double doors).
Honoring Our Seniors
To
honor graduating seniors who have worked as a student library assistant
or associate, the library selects a book, dedicates it to the graduating
senior, and adds it to our collection. To peruse this year's books and
honorees, check out the display on the Reference Desk.
Rotunda Display: Remembering Hendrix Faculty and Staff
Upstairs browse an exhibit memorializing Hendrix faculty and
staff who have recently passed. Contribute a memory to our online
guestbook, and then head to the outer rotunda to peruse a new collection
we've formed of Hendrix Authors.
Academic Support
Librarians and Library Associates are
bookable for research assistance during open hours. Peer Learning happens in a drop-in fashion mostly in the library - check out their spring
schedule.
New Resources
The library recently acquired online access to Science, which you can browse or search. Also new are additions to the legal/government database HeinOnline, including Indigenous Peoples of the Americas (History, Culture & Law), Business & Legal Aspects of Sports & Entertainment (BLASE), Animal Studies (Law, Welfare & Rights), and the National Survey of State Laws.
Writing Center
Writing Associates are available in the
Writing Center to help with any writing endeavor - book an appointment or consult their schedule!
