BIOGRAPHY:

William J. Brown is Professor and Research Fellow in the School of Communication and the Arts at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he serves as Chair of the Department of Strategic Communication and Journalism and Director of the Ph.D. Program in Communication. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science from Purdue University, a Masters Degree in Communication Management from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and a M.A. Degree and Ph.D. in Communication, also from the University of Southern California. His academic research interests include international media and development communication, celebrity influence, health communication, and the use of entertainment for social change. During the past 25 years he has conducted communication research in more than 35 nations. Dr. Brown also has served as a Fulbright Specialist to the Netherlands and to Norway, and has taught a Regent University graduate course on C.S. Lewis and Communication at Oxford University during the past 12 years.
