Magic City Campus High School Reviews
Rating 3.67 out of 5 271 reviews
Magic City Campus does the best with the resources it's given. Although it's not Andover, I feel like its AP and Advanced offerings have helped me prepare for college/more rigorous study. All of the teachers, with one or two exceptions- to be expected, are kind and interested in their course. Although there isn't overwhelming parent involvement or an overbearing school culture, Magic City's (time-limited) position as the only upperclassman highschool in Minot doesn't necessitate one.
My experience at Magic City Campus has been great. I moved here in 2021 as a military child and I was nervous to be going into a public school that I hadn’t yet been able to experience. The staff and teachers were very welcoming and open to teaching me and providing me with openings for many new experiences! I joined the cheer team and got to join AP classes and it has been a wonderful experience.
My high school has provided me with many opportunities. From taking medical classes starting as a freshman, to being able to take college classes at the high school. But the safety for students when it’s negative temperatures is something that needs to be fixed. I understand that locking school doors keeps us safe, but providing parking lots that are a ten minute walk from the main building, with icy sidewalks, and parking lots that never get plowed when it’s -25 is so unsafe. I wish they would listen to students pleas to change this policy.
