I go to the main campus, which is located in the center of Philadelphia. The area is safe and pretty clean, with easy and quick access to a variety of food, shops, and transportation. There are a few places that offer student discounts and lunch specials, which are perfect for in between classes. The classes themselves are, for the most part, informative, even though they can be very long. The professors are very helpful when you need them to explain a concept or answer a question. It is hard to contact them outside of class sometimes, but they usually get back to you within a day or two. Some professors just read off the slides, and the entire course is not usually loaded into Canvas ahead of time so you constantly have to check if you have assignments or if any changes have been made. If they were going to change anything, I would ask that they upload all the deadlines into Canvas, and allow for online classes for the ones that just need to read powerpoint slides.
I transferred out after a semester due to personal issues. I will admit I had a lot going on that made it hard for me here but you should know there will be very poor accommodations if you are neurodivergent, mentally ill, or just need help keeping up. There was some fun events and the people were fine enough, but the teachers I struggled with a lot. Their fashion program was extremely outdated and my teachers were fairly bigoted, and offered no outside of class support. Extremely strict curriculum with very little aid if you fall behind. Not a good place to be if you are going to need any outside of class support in any way. Also their counseling center sucked but they did have a emotional support bunny. The food was also often inedible and made people sick.
From the very first inquiry about the Information Technology accelerated degree program at Jefferson, I sensed I was stepping into a supportive and enriching environment. The staff's unwavering assistance has been invaluable, particularly as a "mature" student returning to school. Their dedication goes above and beyond, reassuring me that I made the right choice. Furthermore, the professors' clarity in outlining the curriculum has made my learning journey truly remarkable. Their commitment to excellence has reignited my pride in pursuing higher education. Being a student here fills me with gratitude and excitement for the opportunities ahead, reaffirming my decision to embark on this educational journey at Jefferson.
