40-Year-Old Former Child Star Xiao Bin Bin’s 27-Year-Old Wife Was Mistaken For His Aunt By A Netizen

For fans of Taiwanese dramas in the 1980s, the name Wen Chao Yu, or Xiao Bin Bin, as he is more popularly known, should definitely ring a bell.

The 40-year-old was a bona fide star in the '80s, after starring in the popular drama Star Knows My Heart as a cherubic child actor.

In the noughties, Xiao Bin Bin enjoyed a resurgence in popularity, when his son, Wen Xuan Ye, affectionately nicknamed Xiao Xiao Bin, followed in his father’s footsteps when he reprised his dad's role in a remake of Star Knows My Heart.

On March 9, the 40-year-old shared a number of selfies taken with his wife, 27-year-old Anna Nguyen on his Facebook. The couple was reported to have tied the knot earlier this year. In the pictures, the couple can be seen hamming it up for the cameras, clasping their hands together to show off their wedding rings.

“It’s good that I seem to have a baby face,” he wrote, but not before asking his followers for their thoughts on the pictures.“[A] 40-year-old [and a] 27-year-old, what do you think?”

While most of his followers congratulated the happy couple on their marriage, one netizen, who didn’t seem to have read the post’s caption, commented, “Is the girl beside you your aunt?”

Xiao Bin Bin later chided the netizen by writing, “Nonsense… that’s my wife”.

This is Xiao Bin Bin's third marriage. His first marriage to Huang Mei Ling lasted from 2003 to 2007, and they have two sons together, Xuan Ye aka Xiao Xiao Bin, who is now 15, and Xuan Yu, 13.

In 2011, Xiao Bin Bin tied the knot to Chen Yi Jun in 2011, but the marriage ended in divorce in 2017. They have one son together, Xuan Xi, seven.
