Early life and education
Hannah was born in Hollywood and was raised by her parents Tom Selleck and Jillie Joan Mack, who wanted her to have a normal (not luxurious) childhood, which is why she spent her early life on a ranch just outside of Los Angeles. She learned how to ride horses at the age of four, and eventually became a competitive rider.
Hannah attended a high school in Los Angeles, and after matriculation enrolled at Loyola Marymount University, from which she graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in communication – she was very active at high school, as she played soccer, did dance gymnastics, and took ice skating classes.

Hannah is very interested in philanthropy, and is a supporter of an organization which supports the crisis regarding donkey hide – she became interested in the organization after it was reported that 60 donkeys per week were being stolen from low-class families, and killed in Los Angeles for their hides.
She is a huge lover of animals and likes horses over all others – she has volunteered several times at ranches which offer shelter to abandoned animals.

Thomas William Selleck was born in Detroit, Michigan USA, on 29 January 1945 – his birth sign is Aquarius and he holds American nationality. Tom is an actor and a film producer, probably best known for playing Thomas Magnum, a private investigator, in the “Magnum, P.I.” TV series – Tom is also a California Army National Guard veteran.
Thomas grew up in Sherman Oaks, California, raised by his father Robert Dean Selleck who died in 2001 and was a real estate investor, and his mother Martha Selleck who died in 2017 and was a housewife. Thomas is of English descent – his ancestors moved to Massachusetts from England in 1633. He has two brothers – Robert and Daniel – and a sister called Martha. He attended Grant High School, and then studied at Los Angeles Valley College before switching to University of Southern California on a basketball scholarship.
He was attending senior year when he dropped out to pursue acting, after being encouraged by his drama teacher, and studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. In 1967, he joined the California Army National Guard’s 160th Infantry Regiment, and served until 1973.

He was shooting for the series until 1988, with the series counting 163 episodes divided into eight seasons, and it won Tom an Emmy Award in 1984. He wasn’t allowed to act in other TV series or movies, thus missing-out on playing Indiana Jones in the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” film, a role which eventually went to Harrison Ford –
In 1994, he played Richard Burke in the “Friends” sitcom, which made him even more popular – Richard was dating Monica in the show, but the two split after Monica couldn’t put up with him not wanting to have children.

He played the lead role in “The Closer” TV series in February 1998 but the show was canceled after ten episodes. He began playing Jesse Stone in the “Jesse Stone” series of movies in 2005 – the ninth and the most recent movie was released in October 2015.
Tom married Jacqueline Ray in 1971 but the two divorced in 1982 – they have an adopted son together named Kevin Shepard who was born in 1966. He went on to marry Jillie Joan Mack, Hannah’s mother, on 7 August 1987 and they have been together to this day.
