Jack Garratt: Nine things you probably didn't know about the Brits Critics' Choice winner

Jack Garratt has been named the Brit Awards Critics' Choice winner 2016.
The 24-year old from Buckinghamshire follows in the footsteps of Adele, Sam Smith and James Bay.
Garratt's had his songs playlisted on Radio 1, he's toured consistently, done the festival circuit and is now ready for a lot more people to find out who he is.
We bet you didn't know most of these things about him.
1. His best mate is Aaron Paul
The pair became friends after Aaron, who played Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, came to see one of his shows in Los Angeles.
"He came up to me after the gig.
"I love him dearly. He's the best. He's one of the kindest and most giving people I've ever met.
"To have anyone come up to me means the world to me, regardless of whether it's Aaron Paul or a crowd of people at my Shepherd's Bush show."
2. But he hadn't seen Breaking Bad
"I didn't really know who Aaron was and I've only ever known him as a person rather than for his acting career."
However, Jack has started his homework.
"I've only recently started watching Breaking Bad and I'm coming to understand the gravitas of how important that dude has become.
"A fan is still a fan. I feel the same when someone like him comes up to me as I do when someone on the street recognises me."
3. The first single he ever bought was this...
"I saved up my pocket money when I was about five or six years old.
"I just wanted to buy a CD and at that age I didn't care about what it was and I ended up buying the Teletubbies Say 'Eh-Oh!'
"I started off strong."
Just a reminder, since its release in 1997, the Teletubbies single has sold 1.3 million copies in the UK.
4. And he then ended up working with the guy who wrote the theme...
The theme tune to the Teletubbies was written by a man called Andrew McCrorie-Shand.
He's a bit of a children's music guru, having also composed the themes to other historic TV shows.
Jack ended up working with the composer and producer when he was 19.
In an online interview with McCrorie-Shand from 2011, he mentions Jack Garratt as "a name to watch out for".
5. This is his favourite movie...
How To Train Your Dragon came out in 2010 and Jack says it's one of his favourites.
"That film is a fantastic piece of filmmaking and animation.
"I'm fascinated by film scores, especially film scores for children's movies because they have to be able to entertain an audience that isn't interested in music yet.
"I bought the soundtrack and listened to it over and over again."
6. He tried to go on this...
The Junior Eurovision Contest. Oh dear.
In 2005, Jack tried to represent the United Kingdom at the event but - perhaps thankfully - he came last in the selection show.
He didn't cringe too much when we brought it up.
"That was the first time I tried to achieve anything as a musician but my intentions were wrong. I did it more for attention rather than for a love of what I was doing."
7. He's mates with this lot...
Jack lived in the pockets of Mumford and Sons this summer.
"They did their own arena tour which I was supporting. They were doing the Gentlemen Of The Road festivals which I was also doing and then on top of that I was doing my own shows.
"For a whole month I got to do the best tour ever. I was doing arenas, festivals and small intimate club sessions."
8. He can't run to music
"I listen to podcasts when I run because it means my mind still gets stimulated by something else.
"I actually listen to the 5 live Mayo and Kermode film review show. I just can't run to music because the rhythm changes so much."
9. He has two very famous fans
Both Sia and Katy Perry have tweeted about Jack this year.
Between them, they have 80 million followers.
