Sault – Nine

God damn....I sent mine back as it had a small dot near the bottom right of the cover. I received a new one with a note explaining the dot was part of the cover art. Gobshite.

Plays really well and now I wear glasses.

I got this album on sale and I'm so so glad I finally own a SAULT vinyl (they're usually horribly highly-priced), and especially this one! No issue with the pressing, it sounds great and quiet. However, I'm starting to be a bit over labels and artists selling their vinyl for 30€ or more and doing the bare minimum when it comes to the packaging (this is basically just the sleeve and the inner black paper sleeve). I know it's their vibe – and they're independent – but you can be mysterious and create a nice object for your fans, you know.

Pressing is flat and quiet. Lots available on discogs at cheap prices. Seems strange given owning a physical copy is only way you can now hear these tracks?? I guess time will tell if they stick to the embargo.

I've been a Sault fan for quite some time and was excited to get my hands on this limited album. I've been listening to the FLAC files on my computer which of course sound great, but boy was I disappointed when I put on the vinyl last night for the first time. It sounded very flat with no dynamic qualities whatsoever. I threw on an early pressing of Led Zepp 1 just to make sure something wasn't going on with my TT and equipment and it sounded amazing. I'll try cleaning this Sault album and see if I can improve the sound quality.

Regarding the music, it's amazing and highly recommended. Check out their earlier albums and EPs as well.

My copy plays perfectly right out of the jacket, no static. It is odd that it comes with a plain black paper inner, even though it says it's pressed by Optimal, who usually use poly lined paper ones. Anyway, this album is amazing! My only gripe is that it doesn't come with downloads.

Flawless. Absolutely flawless, both creatively and musically.

Awful pressing. Great music but channel static on left, muddled and frankly unacceptable. If this is what they want the legacy of this period to be…99 days and oh, here’s your piece of shit reminder then…shame on Sault

Anyone notice static? I’ve cleaned the record a few times, but it’s still there. Otherwise, vinyl sounds great.

Nice record, Fear and Bitter Streets my personal faves. Amazing they have put out five solid albums in three years.
