I can be an asshole of the grandest kind
I can withhold like it's going out of style
I can be the moodiest baby, and you've never met anyone (who's)
As negative I am sometimes
I am the wisest woman you've ever met
I am the kindest soul with whom you've connected
I have the bravest heart that you've ever seen, and you've never met anyone (who's)
As positive as I am sometimes
You see everything
You see every part
You see all my light
And you love my dark
You dig everything
Of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything
To which you can't relate
And you're still here
I blame everyone else, not my own partaking
My passive aggressiveness can be devastating
I'm terrified and mistrusting, and you've never met anyone (who's)
As close to down as I am sometimes
You see everything
You see every part
You see all my light
And you love my dark
You dig everything
Of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything
To which you can't relate
And you're still here
What I resist, persists,
And speaks louder than I know
But I resist, you love,
No matter how low or high I go
I'm the funniest woman that you've ever known
I'm the dullest woman that you've ever known
I'm the most gorgeous woman that you've ever known, and you've never met anyone
As everything as I am sometimes
You see everything
You see every part
You see all my light
And you love my dark
You dig everything
Of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything
To which you can't relate
And you're still here
And you're still here
Still here
You are
Still here
I can withhold like it's going out of style
I can be the moodiest baby, and you've never met anyone (who's)

Even when you've done something that you're not proud of or aren't feeling too good about yourself, there are still people around you who are willing to accept your faults and love you for who you are. It's about true friends who see your ups and your downs and will still stick by you no matter what.
"And you're still here." :)
Alanis openly admits that she is not a perfect person and even with those imperfection (that to some maybe be a little annoying) her lover is still there for her and accepts and loves every part of who she is.
Loving anything and everything about someone. Both the good and the band. And making it last.
This song makes me think of my boyfriend David. I'm all that and more (not neccessarily a good thing) and yet he's still here. <3
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Like alot of alanis's songs this one is beauifully written. it talks about how shes has these minor flaws but her lover (possibly her new candian boyfriend ;) sees past all of these things and stays in the relationship! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Jaydee
nice... but hands clean is better
fino... ali hands clean je bolja. tamara
I love this song, but that's the radio editted version. The first line "I can be a nightmare of the grandest kind" is actually "I can be a asshole of the grandest kind" just thought you should clear that up. This song kinda reminds me of me because I'm so everything like her. Alanis is awesome!
being loved for every aspect of who you are, even your flaws and things you might hate about yourself. it's about your lover thinking you can be anything and everything to them.. and after it all, still being there after others might have left. it's beautiful.
I am posting on this song just because I like Alanis' voice. Nice song, good lyrics, obvious meaning, but really a beautiful voice. Way talented.
