    My daugthers had a blast
This is the third time I have come from Arlington VA, and we love it. Hurricane Harbor is a blast. The water rides are great. The general park is fun too. There are lots of coasters there including the one that I rode as a kid on Nantasket Beach in Mass. I don't think it is overpriced at all. Look it aint cheap but given all the help that goes into running it and keeping it safe, I think it is fairly priced. If you go on line and plan your visit you can do pretty well. I give it four stars rather than five only because I purchased the Hurricane Harbor add on to my ticket for $10. When I arrived at the park, I had one bar code showing for general park admission. But at the Hurricane Harbor station, they said unless you go back into your phone and show us the Hurricane Harbor bar code, you cant go in even though your pass clearly shows that you purchased the Hurricane Harbor add on because your print out does not display the bar code for the Hurricane Harbor add on (it displayed only the bar code for general park admission, I did not click the drop down on the computer screen when I printed so the HH bar code would be displayed when I printed). I was in a big line and it was dark and hard to get on my phone so I just paid the damn $10 twice and moved on. But was it worth it? Yes absolutely. Both my girls had a great time, and I think the park help does a great job with safety. On the half pike, my daughter was too nervous to go and the worker gently encouraged her saying it will be over very shortly and she would enjoy it. My daughter took his work, had a great ride, thanked him after, and talked about it the rest of the day.

Lots of options for elementary school kids
We took a troop of girl scouts on a spring Saturday and had the run of the park. It was great for the children because they were very few wait times to get on the rides for their height/size. I was impressed with the number of rides for the younger set and we had plenty to keep us busy during our stay. We had a great time at the live dance show with a really friendly and outgoing dance troop. They posed for pictures with our troop after the show. Where the park could do better is on the food service as several folks in our group experienced some long waits. Overall, I'd definitely go again but would plan for a trip before the summer season when I assume it's much more crowded (for example, the water park was not yet opened). I have a sense from reading the other reviews that folks are overly dismissive of the park employees who did appear to be on the younger age. Some employees while young, were professional and helpful. Others would use more training. Overall, great experience.

    Great day out
I read some bad reviews of this place but we wanted a theme park close to DC so took the plunge. This is a great place! Rollercoasters are amazing, queues are short and Halloween attractions are awesome. We took the metro and bus to get there. Negatives - as mentioned elsewhere, prices of food and drink, they need to employ cleaners midway through the day to keep the bathrooms lovelier, also the pedestrian access from the road is not as good as it could be. But we had a fantastic day and totally recommend.
Thank you for the review. Have a wonderful day!

    Fire Micheal
The park itself was great, there was this one guy who was dancing near the grand theatre, he was great and brought much entertainment to the park. Near Firebird however there was this employee who was named Micheal, wearing a purple shirt who didn't buckle in my friend. She was screaming at him, and he just looked at her and walked away. My friends had to hang onto her so she wouldn't fly out of the ride. Would've gotten a 5/5 if it weren't for Michael.

Six Flags America is a wonderful theme park that is greatly underrated. The park has some great roller coasters and is not normally crowded if you arrive earlier. The roller coasters here may not be the best ever but are still fun. Superman (ride of steel) is a great roller coaster with great airtime. I think some of the airtime is as strong as Skyrush at Hersey park . My latest visit here had no lines for any ride in the morning. This is a huge plus as I was able to ride Superman and Batwing multiple times. Batwing is another great roller coaster that focuses on intensity. Superman is the better ride out of both(in my opinion) but if you like intense roller coasters over airtime you might like batwing. Joker's Jinx is a great coaster as well and also had no line in the morning. I would suggest getting here early to do the rides as it will make your day more fun. I think season passes are a great deal if you want to visit multiple times (or visit other Six Flags Parks). The food here is good if you go to the Chicken Tender place near the log flume in the front of the park. The Covid Protocols seem to be followed pretty well and the Staff was super friendly. On my last visit some rides were operating on only one train but some had two trains on other visits. Overall, I would recommend this park if your in the area even if you only come for a few hours in the morning when it is least crowded. This park is being run really well this year and I can't wait to see what they might add in the future.

Horrible place, horrible service, horrible humans. After trying to purchase season passes out right the wonderful system six flags would not allow me and forced me to do a payment membership. I did because well we wanted to visit the park early in the year. I visited the park twice prior to the pandemic getting to a point in which the advise you not to do activities that are not 100% needed. At this point I still said nothing as I assumed after the 50 plus dollar i put down and the 6 payments of 16 dollars totally more than $150 there is no way i could owe many more payments, right? I mean currently you can get two passes for $49 each and generally they are about $79 each a season, there is no way i could owe but a few more payments. but i was wrong, turns out when you do a membership you pay for 12 months(makes no sense as the park is not open year round). So i reach out to Six Flags explain that I cant really afford this during the pandemic, I only visited the park twice and will not be returning due to family members and myself being high risk for the virus. Several people tried to act as if they where offering help by saying they can cancel my membership and bill my remainder and if I don't pay it will be taken to collections. So basically as a company they will do nothing to help during this pandemic aside from tell you that you still have to pay the crazy inflated price. I have paid in over $150 dollars for two visits to the park i have more than paid for two season passes and they will do nothing. WHAT A HORRIBLE COMPANY. I recommend taking your money to a park that cares and appreciates their customers because its definitely not sic flags.

I have heard many mediocre and bad things about this park, but on my visit, despite being in the 100's, was amazing. The waits were very short considering it was July, the operations were quick, and all the rides were very well maintained. Already planning on driving back up here to visit next summer! If you are in the area, make sure to visit Six Flags America, especially considering its cheap entry cost and proximity to Baltimore and DC.

This park has gone down hill. It is terrible! You cannot use cash here anymore. When people needed service to get refillable drinks, and you say "excuse me" the young people ignore you as if they don't hear you asking for help. The bathrooms are very nasty. They close down half of the park and only let people with membership passes ride the rides in Gotham City after a certain time. Six flags America is robbing people. This is just unacceptable 😤. The rides are old, and if you pay money to get into the park you should be able to ride all of the rides with no exceptions. These park needs attention. The young people should be trained or supervised. Fourth Of July was the worst 😫 Please fix this situation. I can't believe what's going on. You have to pay five dollars to get a prepaid card. You have to download a Six Flags mobile app to order food and the internet service or reception is poor. This is bad! You get better service at Kings Dominion or Hershey Park. I hope things get better but I will not be going back to this location. Years ago I could say Six Flags had excellent service! I can't say that now. It's just not fun anymore. The family wasted most of their time downloading the Six Flags mobile app. It took forever to download the app. Not happy about this at all. The fireworks were good though.

Six flags hung up on me five times. They refused to give me a refund for three annual passes I purchased on aug 30 2019 for the 2020 year. They stated that coronavirus will be ending on April 1st 2020 and that they will not be held responsible if you come in April 2020 and catch Covid-19 and then they said they can just keep extending when I said I’m not comfortable they said they don’t care if a customer is comfortable they will not give refunds. So I’m now reporting them to my credit card because I have not attended six flags this year Wuhan started in Jan 2020 and now they are closed. So I have three annual passes to covid -19 the park is closed and six flags has my daughter money. My daughter has lung issues with asthma why would I go to six flags and why are they telling people it’s over on April 1, 2020 please train your employees not to act like scientists they shouldn’t be giving out covid -19 end dates

Worse six flags park I have ever been to. Employees do not take their job seriously, they walk around swearing saying “n****” then when you confront them they ignore you. Purchased fright fest past was told it started at 6pm. Currently 7pm no fright fest and park closes at 9pm. Went in one haunted house they turned on the lights ruined the whole thing cause some idiots were fighting. I see tons of security but no securing. They look the other way. Do not come here! Waste of money and not safe. The security guards are a joke, wearing jeans and pink nikes! Joke.

This experience was my first Six Flags experience and underwhelming and subpar sum it up well. They nickel and dime their customers at every turn. I bought a ticket thinking it was a bundle with the haunted attractions and arrived to find out that the haunted attractions pass was $120 with park access. Then another $120 dollars later my girlfriend and I had access to the park. So around $240 dollars for the park access and not to mention $35 for parking and quickly a two person trip is nearing $300, we are in and The park workers were one step away from "I can't stand this job" and "can hardly care". Once inside, the park was quasi dilapidated . My girlfriend and I were able to blaze through anything fun within an hour and a half. THE ride selection is very limited and the areas seem like at some point they gave up on development and just left the park to die slowly. The shows were also only entertaining for small children. The haunted attractions were the main reason we went and were quite possibly the weakest thing about the park. AT one point we were let in to an attraction and the lights were on and we found actors still dressing.. mind you we spent $120 and I venture to image they had 22 other days to figure this out and nope, they are still not sure what red wrist bands mean, if there is or is not a scan code for a band, what time things open or don't...please read this if you enjoy saving your time and money from absolute waste. This place is a s+++ show. The management may be the issue. If you enjoy memories where you enjoy how bad they made the experience for the $$$ you pay then by all means knock yourself out, but if you're not then DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

We have visited two Six Flags parks now in separate locations - terriible experience both times! Everyone at this park is so incredibly RUDE and acts like you owe them something. Getting through the front gate was even a challenge, with the person SCREAMING at me with unclear directions. The park is very dirty and rides are often shut down. I rated this Poor instead of Terrible only because my kids did enjoy some of the thrill rides that were open. The food here is unbelievably expensive and not good at all - no options for those who want to eat healthy or have allergies. I will not be visiting Six Flags again - not at any location.

Throughout the day, we waited in line for 5 separate rides only for it to break down right as or before we were about to get on. Clearly the maintenance on these machines is not up to par. One of the roller coasters even broke down while climbing the incline and riders had to be let off and walked down the steps to exit. The current ticket prices are attractive with COVID but they will get you with their food prices. They do not allow any food into the park then charge $10 for 2 bottles of water. Another $14 for a grilled chicken sandwich, which was hands down the absolute worst I have ever had. The chicken was as dry as it could be and hard as a rock. It cost $60 for a family of 4 to eat, absolutely insane. Do yourself a favor if you go and keep a packed lunch in the car, eat outside and come back in. Also, their staff is nothing to brag about, some were great, but overall they were not very welcoming or helpful throughout our time there. We had considered the season passes since we just recently moved nearby to the park and would be able to go regularly. Luckily, we only purchased a day pass and it will be our last.

Six Flags will NOT offer a refund for 2020 season passes, even though I will not be near a Six Flags next year, as my family is moving out of state. They don't care, and I was told nobody in management could change this, and the CEO would give me the same answer. I told the rep to tell his "management" that this will cost them more money in the long run because they do not seem to care about their customers.

TO SIX FLAG MANAGEMENT AND YOUR CEO: I hope you realize you have lost a customer and I will be telling everyone I can who goes there about this. I will stand in front of our the entrance with a sign whenever I can.
