Marvin Harrison Jr. Selected No. 4 in First Round of NFL Draft

Ohio State has had a first-round selection in nine consecutive years; 91 first-round picks overall

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State University's major award-winning and two-time unanimous All-American wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft with the fourth overall pick … as was expected.

Harrison Jr., the 12th Buckeye receiver selected in the first round, is the highest drafted wide receiver in school history at No. 4. He finished his career with totals of 155 receptions (6th at Ohio State), 2,613 receiving yards (6th) and 31 touchdowns (3rd). More on Marvin.

Harrison Jr. caught 67 passes for 1,211 yards (18.1 avg.) with 14 touchdowns as a true junior in 2023 and won every conceivable major award during an achievement-filled campaign. Consider:

§  He won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's outstanding receiver, becoming the second Buckeye to win the award after Terry Glenn won it in 1995;

§  He was a Heisman Trophy finalist; 

§  He was the Big Ten Conference's Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year;

§  He repeated as the Big Ten's Richter-Howard Wide Receiver of the Year, also winning in 2022;

§  He was named the Chicago Tribune Silver Football Award winner as the best player in the Big Ten;

§  He was a unanimous All-American for the second consecutive year, becoming only the 11th player in Big Ten history, and third receiver, with two unanimous All-America seasons; and

§  He became the first two-time All-American receiver in Ohio State history as well as becoming the program's most decorated receiver.
