Does The Idol soundtrack for episode 3 feature as many songs as the first two episodes do? If you missed any of the songs that play in “Daybreak,” we’ve got your back!

The Idol episode 3, titled “Daybreak,” kicked off with a warning to audiences that the episode they are about to see, features violence. Nudity and sexual content is also part of the warning, but we expect this from every episode, so violence is what jumps out the most.

Audiences are going to have a lot to say about the latest episode of The Idol. But in this post, we’re only focusing on the music. That said, if you have not yet watched The Idol episode 3, titled “Daybreak,” please note there are NO spoilers ahead! However, go stream the episode ASAP, streaming now on Max. After all, you don’t want to bump into spoilers online.

The Idol soundtrack: Season 1 episode 3 list of songs

  • “A Lesser Man” by The Weeknd
  • “2AM” by Gavin Turek
  • “Every 1’s a Winner” by Hot Chocolate
  • “Take Me Back (All Of Me)” by The Weeknd

The latest episode of HBO’s controversial series features new, unreleased music from The Weeknd aka Abel Tesfaye. We’ve got “A Lesser Man” and “Take Me Back (All Of Me),” both on the slow, chill side, but don’t let the tune fool you, the lyrics are impactful.

The teaser for next week’s episode sees Jocelyn beginning to write music with Tedros. We also see Destiny and Chaim chat about Tedros and how much they need him out of the picture. I’m really curious about where all of this is headed.

What did you think about The Idol episode 3? Is the series doing a little too much? Are some of the scenes only for shock and completely unnecessary? Episodes 1-3 are streaming on Max. Episode 4, titled “Stars Belong to the World,” premieres on HBO and Max on Sunday, June 25.
