‘Breath of Life’ leads 2024 AMVCA with 5 awards — see the full list of winners

The African Magic Viewers Choice Awards was held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Eko Hotel, Lagos, bringing the best cinema creators in Africa under a single roof.

The Prime Video original, “Breath of Life,” with five wins, emerged as the top winner of the night, sweeping major categories including Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Lead Actor, Best Director, and Best Movie.Breath of life

Though the nominations initially favored “Over the Bridge,” which secured 12 nominations, and “Mami Wata,” with 11 nominations, “Breath of Life” stole the spotlight with its remarkable achievements.

Chimezie Imo, who portrayed a lead role in “Breath of Life” alongside Wale Ojo, received the Trailblazer Award, adding another prestigious trophy to the film’s accolades.
