The preparations for the surf festival from 9 to 12 May on the south beach on Fehmarn have been completed and we are sure: It's going to be good! Here's a great programme overview of the highlights on land - from parties and great surf cinema to workshops and yoga!

It's that time of year again: the surf scene meets up over the long Ascension weekend on the south beach on Fehmarn. More than 20 manufacturers will once again be making their latest equipment available for a personal test.

A huge programme of seminars, camps, sporting contests and shows, interviews on the two stages and a wide range of selected food stands and delicious drinks await you. And of course the legendary party programme. This year with a covered outdoor area and a silent disco after midnight. However, there is one fly in the ointment for last-minute travellers: the various beach camps have already been fully booked for weeks. However, you can still find accommodation on fehmarn.de.

We are also delighted that our long-standing partners such as Bitburger and new partners such as HiFly, the German Armed Forces and boot Düsseldorf have come up with lots of great activities for you. So one thing is guaranteed not to happen at the Surf Festival weekend - it won't be boring!

surf Magazine Workshops

There are few people who have more experience with a wide range of equipment and different sailing techniques than the surf test editors. Several times a day, Manuel Vogel and Julian Wiemar will be giving tips on the right rigging and trimming, the areas of use for different board and sail groups, early planing, harness surfing and much more during their workshops on the Beach Talk stage. You can find out the times of the workshops on the programme boards on the site.

Yoga & Fitness with Sascha Lange

Every morning from 9 to 10 am, Sascha offers free yoga, stretching and a regeneration work-out on the beach. From 10.30 to 11, he welcomes all windsurfers who want to get really fit for the board with special exercises on the Beach Talk stage. As a trainer for various windsurfing pros, Sascha knows exactly which of your muscles still need a little affection.

Stage talk with guests

On the stage directly on the beach, the manufacturers and their developers present the latest equipment and answer your questions and those of presenter Ingo Meyer. Before the presentations, surf editor Julian Wiemar will give you independent buying advice for the various board and sail groups and explain who the different concepts are suitable for. It's not just about windsurfing equipment, but you'll also learn a lot about wing and stand-up paddle equipment.

Surf Festival T-Shirt from HiFly

2024 HiFly has designed the official event T-shirt: With the classic logo, an old school board and retro colours, the shirt stands out - and of course the surf logo is also a must! Good news: Every vehicle in the beach camp gets a free event shirt. And everyone else can buy the shirt at the HiFly pop-up store on the festival site, where it is available in a limited edition - and of course all other items from the HiFly collection under the motto "A Legend Reborn"!

Waterkant - any water helps the DLRG

Real sailors love water. Not just under the keel, but also in the bottle - that is the motto of our new drinks partner Waterkant. Waterkant stands for regional quality, sustainability in practice, genuine coastal origins and social commitment. With every bottle, Waterkant supports the largest water rescue organisation in the world - the DLRG. So in future you will be able to buy Waterkant water from us at the surf festival, and with every bottle of water you buy you are doing something good! Drinking (water) more often has never made more sense - with this in mind: cheers!

Party & Surf Movie Programme

The covered area in front of the main stage is the centre of the festival site directly behind the dyke. During the day, the award ceremonies for the competitions on the water and many interviews take place there. You can relax and watch from the food and drinks stands. But things really get going on stage in the afternoon and especially when the sun sinks into the sea. We present two absolute film highlights here. On Friday we celebrate "Pasko - the magic move" by freestyler Maarten Molenaar premieres (6.30 pm).

A celebrity visitor awaits you on Saturday: Bjørn Dunkerbeck himself will present the great documentary about his life. "Born to Windsurf" starts at 4.30 pm - admission is of course free.

From 19.30 onwards, the stage belongs to different DJs every day. As in previous years, the absolute highlight will be the performance by worldcupper and house DJ Lina Erpenstein on Friday. On Thursday, DJ Max Teaser (vocal house and electro) and on Saturday DJ Handson (hits/house bass/mash-ups) will be at the controls. The innovative Silent Disco will continue in the covered party area from midnight. You can choose from three music channels on headphones (available to borrow for a fee, free for beach campers).
