The Albatros D.III was introduced in late 1916 and was immediately popular with German and Austrian pilots. Many of Germany's top aces flew this airplane at one time. The D.III did have some initial design flaws, but these were rectified in the C. V and the aircraft served well into 1918. The ProfiPACK boxing of the Eduard 1:48 Albatros D. V contains Eduard's plastic sprues with markings for five examples of this historic aircraft plus pre-painted photo-etched details and painting masks.
