One of the standout aspects of our school is the incredible school spirit. The enthusiasm and camaraderie among students are truly inspiring, whether we’re cheering on our sports teams or participating in school-wide events. Additionally, the variety of club activities available caters to a wide range of interests, allowing everyone to find their niche and build valuable skills outside the classroom.

The school building is old and often dirty, with an outdated interior design that detracts from the overall learning environment.

The best parts of high school encompass the formation of lasting friendships, the opportunity for personal growth and exploration, engaging extracurricular activities that foster skills beyond academics, memorable social events that build school spirit, and the preparation for future endeavors. Conversely, challenges in high school include academic pressure leading to stress, issues like bullying and peer pressure affecting mental health, limited resources hindering opportunities, inflexible curriculums not catering to diverse learning styles, and systemic inequities impacting educational experiences. To improve the high school experience, focusing on mental health support, implementing diverse and inclusive curricula, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture, advocating for equitable resources, and providing flexible learning options are key areas that can lead to a more fulfilling and supportive environment for students.
My experience at Plano Senior High School is great. The teachers are friendly, the pep rallies are enjoyable, and most of the students are friendly as well. There are some things I would change though like the cafeteria food could use improvement, the soap dispensers in the bathroom could stop disappearing, and the mural under the bridge could be upgraded.
