PCS has an incredible community of students, families, and faculty that truly believe in the mission of the school. It feels amazing to be a part of a school community that holistically supports what students need both in and out of the classroom. All PCS students are unique and goal-oriented, each with their own dream and passion, however their academic achievements and leadership skills are superior to most students I have worked with over my long career in education. I always leave my job feeling impressed and inspired by PCS students.
It is a great school if you want to go to a mediocre college or university. The students who go there are more so focused on arts and that is what the school caters to. So in some of the courses the difficulty level is lacking. The school does have a great energy and is filled with wonderful people who want you to succeed at whatever you are passionate about.
I had an amazing experience at PCS. Teachers are very supportive and fellow students come from all over the world, adding to a diversity of perspectives. The academics were so strong, I felt fully prepared for my undergraduate studies at an Ivy League school after my ballet career.
In two years, our experience went from bad to worse. The school did not deal with pervasive bullying, which caused complete isolation for the few students that spoke out against it. A few caring teachers made school bearable.
The school does not address issues of character in any substantive way. The social atmosphere, at first, seems warm and welcoming, but is about fitting in. There is no protocol for dealing with bullying, and solutions are punitive and ineffective, causing more problems for the person being bullied. Administration sides with bullies who are popular.

At Professional Children's School, students do not need to choose between a great education and their dreams.
Professional Children's School is a great place of learning and talent. If you need a place to receive great academics while still being able to balance out a profession that you are passionate about this is the place. Professional Children's School is eclectic. The teachers are personable, the staff is caring, and the students are unique.
They're great with working with kids who have challenging schedules and don't fit the standard profile of a "regular" High School students. Most students are already working, rehearsing, competing, or in a rigorous training program
