We’re less than two months away from the premiere of the latest Disney+ live-action Star Wars series. The Acolyte. Despite being so close, we’re still getting casting updates for the series, this time courtesy of Jeff Sneider of The Hot Mic.

Sneider took to the latest episode of his podcast to reveal what he considered a ‘little scoop’ that David Harewood, the actor probably best known for his role of Martian Manhunter in the CW’s Suprgirl, will feature in The Acolyte in a small role. Sneider had no additional details regarding Harewood’s role in the show, but you can read the exact quote from Jeff Sneider below.

It’s a little thing. But I can tell you that David Harewood, who played Martian Manhunter on Supergirl and all those DC, Arrowverse shows, he was J’on J’onzz, he’s going to be in The Acolyte. David Harewood has joined the cast of The Acolyte and it’s a small role. But he will be in the show which I believe debuts in June.”

The actor also featured in the TV series, Homeland and has contributed his voice to various high profile video games including Battlefield 3, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Set during the High Republic era, The Acolyte, will follow an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.

The Acolyte stars Amandla Stenberg (Bodies, Bodies, Bodies) as the lead, as well as Lee Jung Jae (Squid Game), Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Jodie Turner-Smith (After Yang), Charlie Bennett (Russian Doll), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), Dean Charles Chapman (1917), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) and Margarita Levieva (Daredevil: Born Again).
