Vision & Values

At Hawick High School, we recognise the starting point of learning is a positive ethos and climate of respect and trust based on upon shared values across the school community. A set of core values identified by the community were Honesty, Equality, Ambition, Responsibility and Determination.

On a regular basis we revisit these core values at school assemblies and celebrate our pupils meeting these core values at our celebration of achievement.

Our school aim is to encourage, inspire and motivate the learners by ensuring high quality learning and teaching occurs.

We aim for excellence for all pupils at Hawick High School and to have the best possible outcomes for all. We are proud of our community and all the positive achievements of our young people as they move on to positive destinations at home and afar.
