He do be kinda hot
He was, but I personally think he got better with age.
Very hot
There is no damn way he isn’t Ronan Farrow’s father...
It’s pretty common knowledge since Mia herself now admits Sinatra was “possibly” Ronan’s father instead of Woody.
But Ronan won’t submit to DNA...sigh...I just want to know!
that tells you everything you need to know tho
Filthy, crazy skank isn't even sure who the baby daddy is?!
Honestly i’m sure she’s always known it was frank’s but she needed woody to raise him so ...
I’ve always thought that this was true, but literally that’s the first thought I had when I saw this picture.
Same here! Those eyes especially.
What!? You are so right!
Ha! What I was thinking the exact same thing!
THIS.
His ears have nothing to do with each other, they look so different, sorry Im kinda drunk
So the story behind that is a horribly traumatic birth that left him with that big scar as well. Forceps did that
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/8-things-you-didnt-know-about-frank-sinatra
My grandmother was really good friends with him, when he was in London he would go to hers for a meal, I remember her saying they met though Father Thomas Rooney who was a mutual friend. We had a photo of the both of them printed on to canvas as a Birthday present
Whatttttt?! Can you please make an entire post about this connection, if you’re comfortable doing so or have not already? That’s fascinating!
Sure but I have to speak with her about it to learn more, hell I will even try and get a photo of her now standing next to the canvas photo of her and Frank!
Wow. Crazy stuff! Please do share if you hear more. There are some pretty differing accounts on this man but way more bad than good :/ he was charming, that’s for sure. Good man? Ha, I think we know the answer, now....
100% in line for this lovely story!!
Will do, but she’s having her hair cut right now😂 and will then have a couple of visitors. I will let you all know when I’m going to write it
In 1938, long before he found fame, a 23-year-old Frank Sinatra was arrested in Bergen County, N.J. on charges of "seduction and adultery." According to the FBI reports, "On the second and ninth days of November 1938 at the Borough of Lodi" and "under the promise of marriage" Sinatra "did then and there have sexual intercourse with the said complainant, who was then and there a single female of good repute." This, the charge stated, was "contrary and in violation of the revised statute of 1937." The charges were later dismissed when it was determined that the woman involved was married.
Frank Sinatra was again arrested on a morals charge when an old girlfriend accused him of a breach of promise. The case was dismissed in court in January 1939.
Now, when I first saw the mugshot I was like "uh, yum!" And when I saw the charges, I thought it was hilarious. But the more I thought about it, the more I'm starting to wonder if "seduction" isn't 1930's euphemism for date rape. The charges make it sound like she willingly had sex with him under the promise of marriage...which I can't prove didn't happen. But it's only recently that we have recognized date rape or marital rape as actual rape. A notable example of this is Clark Gable and Loretta Young. Young and Gable conceived their daughter, Judy, in 1935 during the filming of The Call of the Wild. From Wikipedia:
Supporting this theory is an allegation in the book. Sinatra: The Life. Sinatra "raped one woman and pushed another through a plate glass window when she refused to do it."
So what do you guys think?
I cant believe I've never heard of this before
We’ll of course never know for sure, but your theory does fit with the times and what we know of the man.
Sinatra was a thug who could sing. Doesn't surprise me that he'd rape/attack women. Perfect Hollywood-Vegas creep.
Or, at least, lie to women by telling them he would marry them if they would have sex with him.
A real scumbag, who, for some reason, is lionized by certain people/groups.
Yes. Crazy, isn't it? So many hollywood creeps are idolized, like Kirk Douglas, who brutally raped Natalie Wood when she was a 16 year old virgin.
Woody Allen is a sick bastard, but seems to get a pass for SOME reason.
Depends, I think, what they're willing to do for that pass.
Yeah I heard that too and he throw food at people in restaurants if he didn’t like it.
He was a piece of shit. He was said to have raped Marilyn Monroe too I’ll look for the link to post
Now we just need the world to stop acting like women don’t rape men, and that when adult teachers rape their child students it’s no less a crime, and everyone will be protected.
Men are mostly raped by other men....although I agree with u/maniacal_marshmallow. This really isn’t the time or place for this discussion.
Nope. Wrong again.
This isn’t the time or place for a “what about da men????” soapbox hun.
We’re talking about rape aren’t we? It’s not a joke, it happens to men and boys, and often, not something that happens “occasionally.” The only difference is even that bringing it up is seen as some kind of attack on other victims of sexual assault? 50% of trafficked children in NY are boys, but there are no shelters, and no one cares. They’re treated as criminals for engaging in their own assaults. Where’s the time and place? Because it hasn’t happened yet. There are 682 beds for trafficked human beings in the US (which is a travesty on its own) and fewer than 28 are for men or boys. Now correct me if my math is wrong, but the numbers in NY would indicate that trafficked men and boys are pretty much IGNORED by the organizations that are supposed to protect them.
No one will take us seriously if we only bring it up to invalidate other victims.
I don’t, and I didn’t. Did you even read my comments?
Go make your own thread somewhere if you’re really that passionate about it. Doing shit like this won’t make people want to listen to you.
If after what I just said I still have to “convince” you that the rape of men and boys needs to stop being ignored, then you’re the one with the problem.
Oh really, you think us women are protected?
He is extremely good looking. No way in hell Ronan Farrow isn't his kid.
If Ruby Rose had a twin brother...
He has two different ears
He was a thug who could sing.
I never understood his attraction.
Me neither. I could tell he had a bad attitude.
Stupid sexy Sinatra!
I always forget he got arrested in my town lol. Probably the only interesting thing to ever happen here!
I cant believe I've never heard of this before
The scar on the left side of Sinatra's chin...I would have guessed it was from a knife fight and not forceps. From the look of it, it took several stitches to close.
I doubt it was date rape. This might have been a time and place where having an affair was a criminal offense. To be brought up on charges of breaking a martial promise I think sets the tone of how life was back then. When my grandmother died, we all (me my cousins, aunts and uncles) learned that our grandfather had been married before he married her. It just wasn't talked about because they had it annulled after only a few months. This would have been the early '50s..
I just think it was a different time back then and being accused of seduction was probably to save the woman's good name, since it was learned she was married.
I get that side of things, but I'm finding it odd that they would go to police vs just not telling anyone. I mean, this woman was married. So why not just keep her mouth shut? Her name's not besmirched if no one knows.
I found out a similar story about one of my relatives. They found out as an adult that their birthdate was different. Turns out their mother was impregnated by a famous musician (for that time frame) and he was married. So they found a neighborhood boy who agreed to marry her.
I’m curious who reported it, do we know? Could her husband have caught them and made sure Sinatra was charged?
Maybe. But how would they not know she was married if that was the case?
I really wish we had more info. I searched pretty hard and only found the charges. I get that it was a long time ago but you'd think someone would have done a story on it, ya know?
The Adultery part of the charge against him assumes she is married. In legal terms adultery is the charge against either/both participants in the adultery.
Was Sinatra married at the time?
That reminds me of that Hallmark movie with Kerry Russell (i think)? She gets pregnant by a GI who then leaves for war and her father marries her off to a good religious boy from another town, whom she never met. (Skeet somethingorother?) Anyhoo, yes I believe date rape is plausible in Sinatra's case. Something made her go to police, possibly violence or injuries? She could have just said nothing. Great post - never heard the Young/Gable tale!
Don't fool yourself. Rape happened then.
His mugshot looks better than my selfies where I actually have makeup on.
Frankie was a gangster with a golden voice. I've never found him attractive but 'In The Wee Small Hours' it's one of my favourite albums of all time.
I like the coffee song - quicker pace...but yeah he was a thug. https://youtu.be/zTbJBnkRkFo
Always see this on the sopranos in the back room of the bada-bing
I’m so tired I thought this was Alex turner
