You should be able to recover your BBID through your email. Unfortunately, that doesn't hold true for your phone's password. If you've forgotten that you will either need to find some way to remember it, or you'll have to wipe your phone. That's both the blessing and curse of BlackBerry security.

I am sure most people will see it as a blessing. If you forget your own password, it could be considered careless on your part.

If Blackberry made some kind or work-around for the password, you need to understand that the same would apply, if your phone were to fall in to the wrong hands.

Oh I wasn't suggesting that I want or am hoping for a workaround. I'm quite appreciative of the level of security BlackBerry allows me to have with my phone.

It's a curse for those who don't remember their passwords, and a blessing for the rest of us.
