Hunters is a drama series, created by David Weil, that premiered on February 21, 2020 on Prime Video.

Synopsis[]

Hunters follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.

  • On May 17, 2018, it was announced that Amazon Video had given the production a straight-to-series order for a first season consisting of ten episodes.
  • The series was created by David Weil who was set to executive produce alongside Jordan Peele, Tom Lesinski, Jenna Santoianni, and Win Rosenfeld.
  • Weil was also expected to write for the series as well.
  • Production companies involved with the series were slated to consist of Monkeypaw Productions and Sonar Entertainment.
  • On August 7, 2018, it was announced that Nikki Toscano had joined the production as an executive producer and would also serve as co-showrunner alongside Weil.
  • On February 3, 2021 Al Pacino was nominated for Best Television Actor – Drama Series for the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards.[1]
