Suicide Boy is a Korean webcomic (also known as manhwa) created by Park Gee. The manwha follows the history of Lee Hoon, a korean highschool student who wants to kill himself failing in the process, while slowly search a reason to live accompanied by his friends, Jeong Soorim and Kim Jaehoon. The series currently have 2 volumes of 54 and 51 chapters respectively, two spin-offs about two secondary characters, Jung Sana and Jeong Haarim (Suicide Boy 2.5), animated shorts created by Park Gee and uploaded to his YouTube channel, and a third volume in production.
Plot[]
"Lee Hoon (a.k.a. Hooni/Huni) is a wimpy 17-year-old high school student experiencing rock bottom. Due to the high medical costs of his mother's hospital stay before her death, as well as the gambling debt accrued by his abusive father, Hooni is left with crippling debt that leaves him impoverished. This combined with the constant, severe bullying he faces at school has given him extremely low self-esteem. Due to the seemingly endless difficulties he faces, Hooni's only goal in life is to kill himself. This, however, proves more difficult than he thought as he cannot find a satisfactory, pain-free method of doing so. Perhaps he'll finally find a good way to end himself, or maybe life isn't as bad as it seems?"[1]

Lee Hoon "Hooni"- The main character of the webcomic. His mother tragically died from illness, his abusive and drunken father abandoned him, leaving Hooni with the burden of paying a debt of ₩ 50,000,000, motives for he wants to kill himself in order to not suffer anymore
Jeong Soorim - Son of the owner of the edifice where Hooni and other characters live, is his most important friends. He cares a lot for Hooni and usually supports him with food and money.
Kim Jaehoon - Another one of Hooni's friends. Kim is a straight-A student and excels in everything he does. He initially cared about Hooni just to make feel good himself, but later he started legitimately caring about him..
Jeong Sana - Androgynous in appearance, he is Hooni's young next-door neighbor, as well as a talented webcomic illustrator. After looking for inspiration to create his new comic, he sees this in Hooni, so he starts visiting him to take notes from him.
History[]
Is in certain way unknown the origin of the manwha, possibly being made during 2016. The first advice of the serialization is from a Park Gee Twitter answer made in December 14 2016 and the first oficial advice was given in a tweet of January 2, 2017. The manwha was finally released in Lezhin Comics in June 12, 2017. Park Gee uploaded 54 chapters in Lezhin until July 14, 2018, he took a break to draw and upload the volume 2, premiered in July 27, 2019 (almost a year after the Volume 1). In August 10, 2019 is adviced the physical book of Suicide Boy, with a new style of drawing and some gifts included in the buy. The final chapter of Volume 2 was released in June 6, 2020. May 10, 2021 is released the first part of Suicide boy 2.5 and is finished in 25 of June of 2022
