Inside Surly Squirrel
,You find yourself shrunken down to microscopic size, standing on a nut. But then, some giant furry paws grabbed the nut with you on it and see that it was a squirrel, a purple squirrel named "Surly", who is now about as big as a mountain. Surly looks like he's feeling hungry and he is going to eat that same nut, but you're so small, he didn't even notice you on his food. Surly, feeling hunger, says "Holy Macadamia, this looks so delicious".,Without warning, you began to move closer and closer towards the squirrel's gaping mouth, with his big front teeth ready for munching.,Surly takes a huge bite out of the nut and passing through the rodent incisors, you have now landed in his mouth.,As Surly begins to chew his nut, you constantly try to avoid getting crushed by the teeth at all cost. You carefully find your way across the squirrel's tongue by walking onto the bumpy taste buds, while getting drench with saliva. "Hmmm... a rather unusual taste of this nut, it feels like someone is walking on my tongue.", Surly said as his taste buds started savoring your feet.,Suddenly, the tongue flinged you right towards Surly's throat, along with all the chewed-up pieces of food.,As you're about to be swallowed, you grabbed onto the uvula, hanging on for dear life.Surly begins to start gagging and his uvula wiggles you right off and straight down his gullet.,After the squirrel swallows you, you fall down even further through the esophagus, heading towards his belly. Surly says, "UGH! What the heck was that? It felt like a piece of nut got stuck in my throat some how.",Later on, you find yourself inside Surly Squirrel's stomach, standing on a piece of nut which has been swallowed. Looking around, you see the ridged walls of the stomach and below you is a pool of gastric acid. The acid begins to dissolve the food in a liquid, worrying that you might get digested too. All of a sudden, the stomach walls begin to quiver, making a gurgling noise as gas bubbles start to form. Surly gives out a loud burp, vibrating you until it stopped.,Surly rubs his belly saying, "Ahhhh... there is nothing like a full stomach to make a squirrel happy." The sphincter opens up and you then flow right into the small intestine, riding on the nut bit. There are wiggly villi everywhere as you ride the intestinal rapids, heading towards the large intestine.,Not interested in becoming squirrel poop in the colon, you noticed the bile duct ahead, and jumped off the food bit and started climbing up to the gall bladder. Inside the gall bladder, there is a greenish liquid called "bile", which helps with the digestion. You follow another duct into the liver with it's spongy walls, then to the bumpy inside of the pancreas.,Then you reached the bloodstream, with flabby disc-like red blood cells flowing all around you.,You start to hear a booming sound, which means you are headed toward the squirrel's heart. A valve opens and the blood flows right into it. You too had found yourself inside the heart with it's string-like pillars, bursting through valve after valve until you are out.,The pulse from the heart pumps you right into one of Surly's lungs. Air blows all around you as Surly breathes, bouncing on his balloon-like air sacs known as "alveoli". All that bouncing gave Surly the hiccups, knocking you right into an air sac and back into the bloodstream.,The bloodstream then takes you to a kidney. You then accidentally got filtered out through one of these two organs and started flowing down to the bladder with the urine. With the bladder now full, the squirrel begin to feel the urge to urinate. As Surly starts to pee, you started to hang on very tightly while the urine drains out through the urethra. Surly finally feels relief after peeing, exclaiming, "Ahhh... that felt good." ,On your way, you visit the spleen, the place where old red blood cells get recycled.,You find your way out of the squirrel's bloodstream and into the lymphatic system. Inside a lymph node, white blood cells began to circle you, ready to attack thinking that you're a germ. You swam away as fast as you can to get away from these attacking cells.,Later, you came to Surly's left arm, glaring at the muscles as they are moving.,You squeezed your way down through the muscle fibers and now standing one of the squirrel's arm bones.,You hitched a ride a nerve impulse, and traveled on a nerve, all the way to the spinal cord, which then takes you up to the brain.,You arrived in the brain of Surly the squirrel, with nerve cells and grey matter everywhere. Now you have to find a way out of his head.,You see an optic nerve and walked along to one of Surly's eyeballs. After seeing the eye, you then head back to his brain.,Then you followed another nerve to Surly's left ear. Inside, you notice the little bones connected to Surly's eardrum. You shouted "HELLO, CAN YOU HEAR ME!", causing the bones to vibrate. Surly heard your voice, but he doesn't know where it's coming from.Just then, your eyes turn your attention towards the eustachian tube.,Suddenly, Surly starts to yawn, causing you to fall down the eustachian tube, which goes directly to his sinus cavity., You later find yourself stuck up the nose, making your way out through the disgusting mucus and nasal hair.,It looks like the only way to get out of Surly's body now is to make him sneeze.Surly started to feel you tickling the inside of his nose.,The plan worked, as Surly begins to take a big puff of air and then finally... "AAH AAAH AAAAHHH AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHCCCHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"... he sneezed. You then fly out of his nostril and landed safely on the ground. As you miraculously started growing to the size of an insect, Surly finally notice you from below at his feet, wondering "Wow! That tiny guy was inside me the whole time?",Surly picks you up with his paw and begins to ask questions. "How did you get so small, and why you were in my body in the first place?" said Surly as you replied, "I've been shrunked, I was standing on top of a nut and then you ate me." Surly said, "Wait, so that was you all that time; walking on my tongue, grabbing my uvula, giving me the hiccups, screaming in my ear, and making me sneeze?" Then you said, "Yes, sorry about that, the last part you just mentioned is because I was tickling your nose from the inside, that's how I got out." "Oh, I see now." Surly replied. Then you told him, "Anyway, it was amazing! Right after you swallowed me, I was in your digestive tract, then after that, I traveled through your bloodstream, along with your red blood cells, visiting various organs, including the heart and lungs. I was then in a lymph node being chased by your white blood cells, thinking that I'm a germ or virus. I've ventured to your arm, seeing the muscles and bones, and used your nervous system to travel to your brain by impulse. After the brain, I followed various nerves to your eye and your ear, right before I slide down a strange tunnel to your nose and made you sneeze." Surly was quite amazed by your bodily adventure and then said, "Wow, so really enjoyed being inside of me, aren't ya?" "Yeah, but it was also really terrifying at the time, but I'm alright now." you said. "I've been learning all about human anatomy at school, but it was totally different being inside the body of a squirrel or any other animal for that matter." Suddenly, Surly sees you growing bigger and bigger. "Hey! Now what's happening?" he said and you say, "Cool! The shrinking effect must be wearing off, I'm getting big again!",With you feeling the effect of the growing process, you jumped off the squirrel's paw and landed back on the ground again. By some miracle, you grew back to your normal size, with Surly looking right up at you. "YES!" you shouted, "I'm back to normal!" Surly was surprised as he said, "That was real something." You picked him with your hands and petted his head while saying, "You're such a cute little squirrel, aren't you." "Hey! Cut that out!" said Surly, telling you to stop petting him. Then, you told him "sorry" and said, "It was really nice meeting you, Mr. Squirrel." "Oh, please", the little squirrel said, "Call me 'Surly." "Surly, huh?" you replied, "Ummm uhh.. that's an unusual name for a squirrel, but I guess it suits you quite well." You then put Surly back down and told him, "Anyway, I better be getting back home, my parents might be worried about me, bye!", and Surly saying, "Yeah, you too, kid." as he waves goodbye to you leaving the park. "Nice kid", he said, "But he does like to get in your head sometimes (chuckles) I mean literally. Buddy, Andie, and the other animals won't believe this, after all, huh huh, we are just a little nuts.""BONUS",
