A Truly Bizzare Adventure (No spoilers) Jojolion cranks the bizzare tone of Jojo's to a 10. Mirroring part 4, Jojolion takes an SoL approach once again to the Jojo's series as we revist the town of Morioh. Following Josuke Higashikata, a man who has lost his memeories, Jojolion is a story of breaking a familial curse and discovering who Josuke is. Many complaints for Jojolion is regarding its story structure, with many claiming it lacks a true plot for the majority of its run. While not as clear cut as previous parts of Jojo, I'd have to disagree. Part of Jojolion's charm is just enjoying the ride. The Higashikata family are all well developed and an interesting cast of characters who we get to spend a lot of time with. So many crazy and hilarious chapters had me laughing constantly. The minor villains, while not as compelling as part 7's, still had cool motivations and unique abilities. I believe Josuke's memory plot was not only well done, but made him a very compelling main character to follow. The plot is driven by Josuke's past and his current goals, contrary to what people believe. Unfortunately, Jojolion had many things I was not a fan of. The main villain of Jojolion quite honestly ended up being my least favorite Jojo villain. Despite having a cool ability and great fight, he overall did not leave that great of an impact, even when compared to other minor villains of the series. While mirroring part 4, I also felt the side cast did not leave as great of an impression in the long run. In Diamond is Unbreakable, Morioh felt alive at all corners. Many mysteries to discovering, returning side characters, and funny side chapters. While Jojolion does include a lot of these aspects, and even does some better, I still felt it did not manage to surpass part 4 in the end. Ultimately, despite how great Jojolion was for most of it's run, it did leave me feeling pretty underwhelmed with its conclusion. Jojolion is definitely worth the read. While it personally did not reach quite the same peaks as previous parts of Jojo, it still was an overall enjoyable read, and a solid continuation of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure.
