Where is Jesolo

Jesolo is located on the Adriatic coast of north-eastern Italy in the Veneto region. It is part of the Metropolitan City of Venice (formerly the Province of Venice).

Jesolo is mainly divided into two locations: Jesolo Lido (or Lido di Jesolo) and Jesolo Paese. When we talk about Jesolo, we usually refer to the locality of Jesolo Lido, which is the coastal area close to the sea, a holiday destination for many tourists. The locality instead further away from the coast is called Jesolo Paese, a purely residential area, rich in history but less frequented by tourists.

The city of Jesolo stretches mainly along a thin coastal strip between the Adriatic Sea and the Sile River, and is located as the crow flies at:

  • 25 kilometres north-east of Venice.
  • 35 kilometres south-east of Treviso.
  • 90 kilometres south-west of Trieste.

As it is mainly located along the coast of the Adriatic Sea, Jesolo’s boundaries are defined by its coastal extension. In particular, Jesolo’s boundaries include:

  • Adriatic Sea
  • Cavallino-Treporti (VE)
  • Eraclea (VE)
  • Musile di Piave (VE)
  • San Donà di Piave (VE)

The nearest airport to Jesolo is Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), which is about 30 kilometres away. Treviso Airport (TSF) is another option about 40 kilometres away.

You can also easily reach Jesolo from the A4 motorway, which connects Milan to Venice, by following the signs to Jesolo.

Jesolo is well connected to Venice and other surrounding cities by bus and ferry. The nearest train station is in San Donà di Piave, which is about 25 minutes from Jesolo.
