Who comes out on top in Wales?
Cardiff University retains its top spot in the Welsh nation in 2025, and it's good news for Swansea and Cardiff Metropolitan, both moving one place up the table to second and fourth respectively.
Aberystwyth University and Bangor slide down one to take third and fifth and the rest of the table stays the same as 2024.

Studying in Wales

University cities and towns in Wales
Cardiff, the capital and largest city in Wales, offers two universities and is a modern compact city to get around. Swansea, sometimes known as the city by the sea is a great place for live music, festivals, and events.
