Cruel and Unusual Films, Inc. was an American production company established in 2004 by Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, and producing partner Wesley Coller. It was effectively relaunched as The Stone Quarry in 2019. Snow Steam Iron was its final project (though, Justice League was released later), as well as the first produced under The Stone Quarry, making it the only project involving both studios.

Before being established as a full production studio, "Cruel and Unusual" was a label Zack Snyder used for his work in music videos and advertisements. Its logo is based on the character of Babydoll that he had come up with for the story of Sucker Punch, which was conceived long before it went into production. The "Cruel and Unusual" label stuck for more than a decade, but since it never really represented what the studio stood for, the team reestablished the studio as The Stone Quarry.
