There are more than 6,500 species of birds considered exotic, classified into several types:
- Psittaciformes: the order of psittaciform birds consists of 87 genera and 375 species. It includes, for example, macaws, parakeets, parrots, cockatoos, and lories.
- Passeriformes: this is the largest group of all birds with more than 5,700 identified species. This order includes birds characterized by their song, called songbirds, such as canaries, hoopoes, and goldfinches.
- Columbiformes: an order that includes 334 species. They include pigeons, turtledoves, and those species with similar morphology and characteristics.
- Galliformes: This order comprises 284 species such as chickens, hens, turkeys, quails, guinea fowl, and pheasants.
- Piciformes: The order of piciform birds comprises seven families, 67 genera, and 339 species. Among them, we can find the toucan and the woodpecker.
- Trochiliformes: order formed by only one family, that of the hummingbirds. Trochilids are distinguished from other birds by the peculiar structure of their wings and bones.

It is native to Indonesia, New Guinea, and Australia. As its name indicates, it is a very colorful species, predominantly green, blue, and orange. Its habitat is tropical rainforest, coastal forest, and wooded areas.
Golden Pheasant
Native to the Asian continent, in fact, it is an important symbol in Chinese culture. It stands out for its bright plumage with white and yellow tones that contrast with its reddish chest.
Quetzal
The resplendent quetzal is a well-known bird that many consider being the most beautiful in the world. These vibrantly colored exotic birds live in the tropical and mountainous forests of Central America, where they eat fruits, insects, lizards, and other small creatures.

Nymph Cockatoo
The nymph cockatoo is part of the Australian cockatoos but is the smallest of the species. They measure 25 to 33 centimeters long and weigh about 100 grams. Crowned Crane
