Race Awakening

Races are a core mechanic in the game. Depending on the race of the player, they will get unique passives and buffs to use in combat.

Human

Angel

Obtainment

In Blox Fruits, a race is randomly given upon the player joining for the first time, the obtainable races upon joining for the first time are:

• Human (62.5%)
• Rabbit (12.5%)
• Shark (12.5%)
• Angel (12.5%)

Other Races

• Cyborg
  • Can be obtained through completing the Cyborg Puzzle.
• Ghoul
  • Can be bought for 100 Ectoplasm and a Hellfire Torch through Experimic.

Changing Race

The player's race can be randomly changed to Human, Rabbit, Shark or Angel in various ways listed below:

• Giving 3,000 to Tort. (Not available in the First Sea)
• Buying a Race Re-roll for 90 in the Products Shop.
• Buying a Race Re-roll during certain Events.

Other Races

Ghoul and Cyborg cannot be obtained from the methods listed above. However, if you've already obtained them once, you can get them again by talking to their respective NPCs:

• Experimic for Ghoul
• Secret NPC for Cyborg

To switch to Cyborg, the secret NPC requires 2,500 for each switch. However, Ghoul is free to switch in and out of.

Race Versions

• Version 1
• Version 2
• Version 3
• Version 4

All Races have a second and third versions (also known as v2 and v3). These versions come with different extensions to the user's abilities, and are only obtainable in the Second Sea.

Main article: Alchemist

The second version of a race (so-called V2) can be obtained by talking to the Alchemist in the Green Zone and doing the Flower Quest. In order to start this quest, the player must be Lv. 850 or more, and must have completed the Colosseum Quest.

Purchasing V2 costs 500,000.

The third version (so-called V3) of a race unlocks an extra skill for the player to use and requires certain quests to be completed depending on the race. To begin, the player needs:

• V2 of their current race.
• to have killed Don Swan and unlocked the door to his room.
• 2,000,000 (Before talking to Arowe)

If the player has all of these requirements, they can talk to Arowe (who can be found inside of a hidden entrance in the plateau that Diamond resides on), which in turn gives them a quest, depending on their race, to upgrade it to V3.

Purchasing V3 costs 2,000,000.

Quest

Once talked to, Arowe will give the player a quest depending on their race. The quests are as follows:

• Human - Kill the first 3 Bosses in the Second Sea: Diamond, Jeremy, and Fajita.
• Rabbit - Collect 30 Chests.
• Shark - Kill a naturally spawned Sea Beast. Summoned ones (including the ones that the Tide Keeper summons) will not count.
• Angel - Kill another player with the Angel race.
• Ghoul - Kill 5 players. Can be any level as long as they're in the the same server in the Second Sea. The player can kill the same person 5 times. Obtaining Bounty/Honor from the player(s) is not necessary.
• Cyborg - Give any physical fruit to Arowe (He doesn't take the fruit).

The fourth version (so-called V4/race awakening) of a race unlocks a few extra skills for the player to use and requires certain quests, puzzles and trials to be completed depending on the race. To begin, the player must need to:

• Defeated the Rip_Indra Raid Boss
• Defeated the Dough King
• Unlock Race V3

If the player has all of these requirements met, they can talk to Sealed King to start. More info regarding Race V4 is put in a dedicated page: Race Awakening.

Notes

• In order to obtain the Slayer Skin for the Dark Blade, you need to have unlocked the V3 ability on every Race, except Ghoul and Cyborg as they are not one of the four races that you can spawn with.
• Your V3 quest won't be saved upon leaving the game, however, if you die, your progress will be saved.
• It is impossible to reroll your race or to join the game naturally to get the Ghoul or Cyborg race, because they are only obtainable by completing a series of Quests.
• You can get Ghoul back for free by talking to Experimic, if you've changed to another race after doing the Quests required to get it.
• The same as above applies to the Cyborg Race as well, however, you do have to pay 2,500 in return.

Trivia

• You can press T on your keyboard to activate the V3 ability of each Race without having to use it from your inventory.
• You can press Y on your keyboard to activate Race Awakening of each Race without having to use it from your inventory.
• Switching races will keep the Race version of your original race. (Example: You get Angel to V3, then switch to Human. You will still have V3 Angel when you switch back to it.)
• Cyborg is the only race that doesn't provide any movement buffs passively (excluding V4).
• The Rabbit's special ability Agility does not stack with Awakened Ice's Ice Skating ability.
• You used to be able to trade a Rare Artifact with Norp to get a Race Reroll, but was replaced by Fragments in Update 13.
